Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
A big Wakefield Doctrine Shout-Out to our newest DocTee wearing Friend of the Doctrine (karen) and some of our FaceBook aquaintanceses:

Listen, it’s getting dark later and later, so hurry up and call us this Saturday1 Not that we will not be driving around Wakefield in the dark of Winter, (as we surely will), but I was thinking, “You know what would be really fun? A group picture!! Damn! That would be very great!
Lets get everyone in the car corporally and dashboard-istically2 and stop at one of the spots we usually stop at during our fun-fun-fun Wakefield Doctrine Saturday Night Drives and take a damn photo! just like every group of friends tries to do as the Summer and/or Vacations begins to draw to an end!! But first we need to make a couple of decisions:
- where do we take this ‘picture’
- do we make it a still photo or a video?
There are a couple of picturesque places in and around Wakefield where we always stop (and one not so picturesque place), so maybe we will try to get a picture at each location. Send us your thoughts and vote for your favorite location!
- ‘the Wall’ at the Towers3
- the Parking lot at Georges
- the traffic light at Cumberland Farms (or)
- the parking lot at the Wakefield Mall
Everyone will sit quietly in the dashboard, except for those who are in the car in person (which might be AKH or the Progenitor roger or glenn or Joanne or even Phyllis). Once all forward motion has ceased, I’ll get out of the car (with my trusty video camera), walk a short distance from the car and do a quick ‘establishing shot’. Then a 360 of the car and everyone can say hello!! Real loud like, I will have the roof open and such… you may need to take turns, but the camera has sufficient audio recording capability to pick up your voices. Of course, any of our photo/audio-phobic friends can remain silent (…clarks!) and I will just mention your name.

The Doctrine never ceases to amaze me….rogers will listen to scotts. And take them seriously. rogers will not and do not with clarks.

I agree with the Wall as a good location but the parking lot at Georges has been a very frequent place we sit… in fact, here is a video we took that we called ‘Things you won’t see if you live in a big, square state’ (was done for Molly, of course!).

Hey Dashboardians!! (lol, I think that would be you Molly and Steve Crabtree and even the Progenitor roger…) you people have spent more time parking at George’s (Windows on the World Parking Lot) than you have at the Wall, let us know your thought.
I am thinking that we will be doing this the weekend after this weekend ( or maybe both weekends…) lol yes, decisive leadership always shows!

Speaking of. I totally, yes TOTALLY, means 100%, enjoyed the chat on Sat nite, (too bad you SLACKERS missed it) you would have learned some things! I digress. You know, I do not give a rat’s ass about who wins the Prez election. I am that disassociated. I think, overall, we are all screwed. Again, just in a ‘who cares’ mode this evening, which I choose to hang on you who read my drivel. Barack should have his own talk show and Romney should own Wall Street. Then both would be happy. I don’t give a damn. Paint me as a GREY state. The Wall. I’m for the Wall. Something about concrete behind you, where you can’t move, you are just an object in FRONT of a WALL, but, you guys know something about this wall I do not. Dashboardians. Love it. I enjoyed the intellectual conversation (for a change) and learned some about THE EYES, the EYES HAVE IT. That is so true. Here is a fact you can use in real life – if, when talking to someone, they look to THE LEFT? They are LYING! If they look to the right? They are using that part of the brain that interjects factual information, so they are thinking correctly, and not making things up. Looking to the LEFT, is a sure sign of lying. Or, being evasive. Truth. If they look at your eyes TOO LONG? They are lying. They are deliberate and trying to convince. Those with darting eyes? We know who they are. Right, Clark? I’m in a rare mood this evening, between feeling morose and difficult.
I DID see Lon Chaney with Boris Karloff at a bar one night when I was young. They were in DT Dallas, at the Adolphus Hotel. Lon was drinking heavily and Boris was, as well. Lon, leaned over to whisper to the bartender and mauled his face, while screaming in agony, Boris bit off his nose! Seems the Manhattan wasn’t up to snuff. After that, Bloody Mary’s were half=price. I was a kid, and thought twice about getting their autograph, I wish I would have had a camera. I also met Raymond Burr (closet man) at Fair Park, and he was fat as a blimp. I was not impressed. How in the HELL could he solve a mystery, let alone, not consider lap-band surgery? Appears all that hot coffee was just to get to the black woman. Black coffee, it’s a hit. Steve Marriott. If you haven’t seen that youtube video, Black Coffee with Steve Marriott, you should, it is genius.
They are spraying for West Nile tonight. Dallas is the dead-center of West Nile, they are using airplanes, ground trucks, everything, and people ARE dying from these mosquitoes. IN my town, they have declared an emergency, due to the number of victims, around 30 now, who have it! Where the F is Batman! Don’t bats eat mosquitoes? I want to ride around on Sat nite in the car and take pictures of fat people on the WD Sat nite call-in! Obesity is rampant – but I received the best check=up today I’ve ever had. Doctor said I’m in IDEAL shape! I might be a vampire. For real. Or, worse yet, a ROGER! And, don’t say, with Clark=like tendencies. I will behead you. Or, befriend you. James Spader. The eyes. Well, I’ve covered all I’m agonna say tonight. I want badly to be somewhere else besides Dallas. Can you CSR people get me a job in PR? I want to move from this god-forsaken place in the US. After all, WE killed JFK! AND, then we funded HOUSTON to land on the moon! Anyone believe that? Area 51? (seeing how you started this rant)… the reason I do not expose myself to the media anymore (newspapers, magazines, TVs) is that it is worse than stupid/not making sense, it is apparently meant to make reasonable and rational people stop in the middle of the day, shake their heads like a Warner Brothers cartoon character and say, “No way!! They (fill in the current event blank) can’t be serious”
A number of years ago I decided enough is enough, I wanted my full concentration on living, not trying to understand the crazy stuff going on… and so I opted out. From what I hear, the world is getting along fine without me staying up on the important matters of the day, so don’t tell them that I have been playing hooky from Current Culture Class.
..but since you have a certain musical bent and will no doubt get the lyric that I started this Comment with, without having to resort to ‘the google’, would you please tell me how the system is allowing, and giving airplay to Kid Rock for whatever the hell the name of that thing that he lifted from Warren note-for-note. Vanilla-frickin Ice got run out of town for using a part of a bass riff, but this song is the whole damn song…with different lyrics and a little bit of Skynrd stolen for good measure! What the hell??!!
OK back to serenity-ville. You people can keep your current events.
…however, I am thinking that when we get to the ‘Hey people! lets-do-a-internet-radio-show stage of this Doctrine’, that we will be doing some current events (from the Doctrine perspective, of course). In fact, we will have an opening for a regional reporter… lets say you cover the American southwest including-all-States-where-mens-hat-styles-are-an-important-form-of-communication! And Molly can cover the big square States and DS#1… American south-right, and all states where the legal age to get married is lower than the age to drive a car without an adult. Then, we will of course have Claire Peek over in Untergrunda Oberhan, Sweeden and Nell in London and maybe Jenny in Liverpool
Damn, I think you are on to something…. once a week, one hour Current Events/World News/Sports and Celebritification.
