TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

This is the Wakefield Doctrine’s contribution to the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) bloghop. Entering it’s twenty-third year of continuous expression (online), (sixteenth in the analogue non-virtual world), the TToT manifests the best and worst of the potential of the blogosphere.

For us here at the Doctrine (Wakefield Doctrine blog motto: “Still?!?! How is that even possible? By your own admission (and insistence) there are only three personality types in the whole thing. And those, you so slyly insist are, in fact, characteristic relationships’. Don’t even get us started on that… ok, your passive aggressive persistence has worn us down again. Go ahead hit us with your list. You will anyway.”) It speaks for its-own-self. Following is our list

1) Una

2) Phyllis

3) the Wakefield Doctrine

4) geographical location i.e. close enough to the ocean to drive there ‘just because’

5) writing and such

6) bloghops Six Sentence Story and the Unicorn Challenge

7) The Day of The Doctrine Hoodie (see Grat 9 below) This is for illustration purposes.

and, of course, hats (for your damn head))

8) something, something

9) So. The thing was, Denise and Cynthia and roger were on the call-in last night and the topic came around, (as it so often does), to beauty, pride and fashion. Naturally thought of hats and doc-tees (as seen in one of last week’s posts) and the Wakefield Doctrine hoodie stepped up stage center. The question is: which should be the first in a line of Doctrine-inferred clothing?

Vote in the comments below.

Please.

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

If I could drive to the ocean and look at it just because I could, I’d probably never do anything else. As it is, I have a lake to look at, and that’s not half bad.

    • messymimi says:

      I miss the water.

As Kristi said, my first thought was, depends on the weather. We still have weeks and weeks of summer left, i’d need a tee.

      • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

        thank you for the feedback…
everyone likes the doc-tee that Cynthia is modeling (via the link in the post) and those are relatively simple in design. as to the hoodie the font is the remaining open question… to be continued

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      totally
nothing says ‘Raw power of nature than a large body of water doing what it wants not matter what anyone of anything thinks’

  2. Cynthia says:

Hoooooddddddiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee. Mine’s getting worn out. 😁

  3. cynthia says:

PS – I love Phyllis’ – Fun color. But I love my gray one, too. We need Doctrine swag STAT!! We are the Doctrine Army: spreading the good news of the theory of clarks, scotts, and rogers far and wide.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      right on

hey! does the font (in yours) have a specific name? It has an outline (of the letters) that Phyllis’ lack I think the outline is more on target for the look we’re going for

  4. Kristi says:

I love a good view. Here it’s the mountains, or looking over the valley/Utah Lake, but there is something particularly mesmerizing about the ocean.

As for your beauty/pride/fashion conversation (which you so frequently have?!), I think the vote between hoodie, shirt, or hat probably would skew with the weather. As temperatures are starting to drop, I imagine hoodies would take the vote. But I’m not exactly a fashion maven, so I’m no expert.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

thank you for the input… while the doc-tees and hats were fun, the hoodie Cynthia and Phyllis are sporting just seem more universal (in a practicality sorta way)

  5. Autumn in New York. Such a beautiful voice Allison has.
An appropriate soundtrack to this early overcast Monday morning.
You know how I feel about a full line. Let’s face it….it’s that time of year for the pullover Wakefield Doctrine U to wear to school there. Tell me how much and consider my order placed!
