TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

(From a day in 2013), fulfilling the dream to ‘See the dawn in Salt Lake City’

This is the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) bloghop. Created by Lizzi R, one Sunday afternoon, (a warm day for Febrrrary), on the outskirts of the village of East-Worcestershire, in the highlands of Outer Steakncheese, New Steamroller, UK. Now entering our twenty-third consecutive year, the TToT is, unofficially, ranked as the 43,092nd bloghop on the World List of blogs that just won’t give up.

We have truly proven the world wrong, once again! (Dagens Nyheter, Copenhagen: ‘Du tittar, det här är en blixt i den virtuella pannan‘)

1) Una

(from a more warmer time of year…)

2) Phyllis “I said, who are you and what are you doing on my property” lol*

3) the Wakefield Doctrine

4) The on-going project; this week: estimates for a ‘mini-split’; bid for power, (electrical, not emotional or political or self-will… but then, you knew that, didn’t you?). Hey! Since we’re on the topic of home office/liberry building, what do you think of this flooring? (Note: the interior is a decent sized space, i.e. 12×16 with good natural light.)

5) Six Sentence Story (and two serials, ‘the Whitechapel Interlude‘ and ‘the Case of the Missing Fig Leaf‘)

6) Speaking of (the) Life Virtual… a shoutout to the reg’lars at the Six Sentence Café and Bistro(#SixSentenceCaféandBistro): Denise, Ford, Miz. Avry, Chris Hall, Spira, jenne, Liz, Keith and Frank and Mimi and Paul and Reena an them) This community-ette has matured, (which in the blogosphere) means a continuity in participation with (an) attendant mythos. For some of us it has become what online writing groups always seemed to want to be but never are, (except for the first twenty-five members), that is. Good news, as you can verify it yourself, there’s only like, thirteen or fifteen members…. so you can still get something from joining in!

7) Speaking of writing, and categorically not speaking of New Year’s resolution, there is a little WIP by the title ‘Almira’ that both Phyllis and I enjoy re-reading from time-to-time. Need to get it out of the trunk and figure what to do with it. (At very least, a polish edit; maybe even a professional edit of some sort.)

8) * The joke is, Phyllis is one of the people, even for one of her people1 least inclined to be territorially possessive.2

9) something, something

10) Secret Rule 1.3 from the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules) that states, in part, “…[h]ey, ‘What the heck do I write about now?!? There were only seven days since the last one of these! Damn, who are these people, the demon spawn of Norman Vincent Peale and Nanette Fabray?!?!? …wait a darn minute!! Is that the end of the list up coming up??!! I so got this!”  (ibid et al and a Happy op. cit. to all!)

1) rogers (Members of the Herd and why this computer works most of the time and why school was such a challenge

2) kind of an advanced concept in the Wakefield Doctrine, involving the ‘Everything Rule’ and such… remind us to use it for a weekday post topic

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

I guess they did not know that there is a famous Anglican Hymn from the late 18th century named Rock of Ages. This one is similar but very different at the same time.
The flooring looks perfect for an Almira tribute for the library.
    Thank you.

  2. Happy New Year.

  3. An incredible view. Tell me you stepped out onto the balcony!

A delightful offering from T’s to music. Think you covered it all. :)
Thanks for the shout out to the Six! We do! We have a very cool group of writers who regularly hang at the SSS Café.
For sure pull Almira out of the trunk. It’s a wonderful story.

I believe it was a fake balcony but the view in the morning was fun (this is one of the 2010-2013 roadtrips

  4. Pat Brockett says:

I thought I recognized that view in the top photo.
That flooring for the library looks great!
Photos reflecting a warmer time of the year sounds really good to me right now, but considering the weird weather patterns, I am sure warm weather, and possibly even very hot weather will be coming around again and then I’ll be wishing for cooler weather.
    Happy New Year!

It is of (whatever the mountains visible) from a room in the Grand American hotel…I think to the east. Also there was a big letter (I could look it up, but I think it was a ‘Y’) on the hillside

The weather here is moderate, so far…nothing too weird, other than the fact that more often than not, the temperature here in southern Rhode Island is lower than it is for a friend in Biddeford Maine… go figure

TToT entering the 23rd year! — I don’t remember exactly when I started taking part in it… probably more than 10 years ago… I am thankful for this blog hop that motivates me to keep writing in my blog. Thank you for co-hosting it, and I wish you a happy new year.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

I totally agree with the idea that simply participating in a bloghop helps me keep the writing habit… guess it’s like exercise, way easier to continue than it is to start up again after stopping.
      or something like that
have a most excellent New Year

  6. Spira says:

When the morning or afternoon light reflects on your floor, you will know its beauty!
    Creative new year!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Hey! S!
      Thanks for stopping by.
(Yeah, it’s seems, by all responses that the choice of flooring should be proper.)
And, don’t hesitate to browse around (the blog)… never did quite spend as much time as I might have to get it more organized… you know, for visitors to get a quick idea of the content and such… but then again, whaddya gonna do? lol

  7. Lisa Tomey says:

Happy New Year! I like the floor.

  8. dyannedillon says:

Phyllis def looks menacing. Much more so than Una.
