1) the Friday night vidchats! though we are getting old (at an astounding rate! there must be something, like dog years only in the opposite direction… one year in the ‘sphere translates to 7 years in the ‘real’ world) this Friday past it started off with zoe and then Denise joined in, then Lizzi and finally Laura… (Laura was kind enough to be my stand-in, as my computer choose the moment that she appeared to disconnect me). In any event, I am glad to see that the …medium is still with us. The live experience is, oddly enough, a break from the pressure of typing words that had better communicate my thoughts…
2) …that I am in a place where I can type that last (partial) thought, I am both grateful and hypo-grateful. This business of how I have come to have an assumption (on some level) that what I write is interesting enough to put out there for the world to read….
3)… ayiiee A thought just occurred to me, you remember the old science fiction movies, when the aliens arrive and they speak, like, perfect local English and (their) explanation is, “We learned to speak your language intercepting your radio and TV programs.” ok…. but, suppose, when the aliens arrive this time, they will have learned to speak our language from tapping into the internet and reading blogs…
4) I am grateful for (the concept) of blog challenges (in general) and my own, odd solution to losing focus, to write a Post a day for the month of September
5) speaking of the subject experience of the passing of time, clarks, as we all know, have a certain sense of time that is actually useful! Find a clark, take their watch (if they are wearing one) and tell them, ‘hey! let me know when 17 minutes has elapsed.’ chances are they will be able to do it. This is useful if you don’t have an alarm clock… but do have a clark, or are a clark… you can wake up whenever you want.
6) grateful for this TToT hop, with the variety of views and perspectives that get represented when one of us submits a Post

9) I am grateful ( I think) for not having to resort to the very weird, in order to come up with today’s Post. (yes, New(er) Readers! it does get strange around the Doctrine at times…. hey! maybe I’ve lost my mojo!) shit! no, wait, I just had a thought…. it’s ok now. I haven’t.
10) got this phrase stuck in my head today, ‘when the pupil is ready the teacher appears’. Have heard (and read) variations on this ever since I can remember, really like the implications (at least as they manifest to me). that’s all…nothing profound.
yeah, I’m feeling a little nostalgic for the old, not-very-sophisticated, but well-meaning early days of the blog, lets find a music video!
OMFG! I… I… (wait give me a minute, I need to sit for a moment… no! I’m alright it’s… my god! I believe in the timeline theory of reality (where for every decision, a new past-present-future continuum is created and we live in one, but as change occurs, we sometimes have a ‘different’ past than the one that we think we remember…. chrono-cognitive dissonance, if you will)…. but, since L, in her comments, reinforced that whole Victorian library scenario, when I went looking for music I thought….’hey didn’t Kate Bush do a song about Wuthering Heights?’ yes. yes she did. I remember listening to it in the 1980s and looking at the cover to the album…very attractive brunette shade woman… and the song (in my ‘memory’) was enjoyable, not to my musical tastes at the time, but still… the thing is I remember that memory…but then I just now clicked on the youtube link. (Sorry, I cannot bring myself to post the link the ‘normal’ way… here is the link follow it and watch, if you are curious.. I need time to reconcile what I see in this video and what my… my memory of a time in my life tells me.) I swear to god, the song, the Kate Bush in my memory was not the one in this video! Someone please tell me that I accidentally got the Weird Al parody.

Actually…we are, in fact, learning…in way I would not have necessarily given much credence at an earlier point in my life…not learning knowledge.. but changing who I am nonetheless…By witnessing the lives of other clarks

“When the pupil is ready, the teacher appears” helps explain why when I learn a new word, that word suddenly shows up all the time.

holyfuck to the time thing!!! I wake up every morning, and know within a few minutes what time it is. Same with just middle of the day. Never realized that’s a clark thing!! COOL!
yeah… how weird is this Doctrine thing, huh? Why we (clarks) should have that as a quality… talent (lol) I have not, at present, have a clew….
We are huge fans of Kate Bush and that video the Denise shared is our girl. I read very recently that she just sold out a gazillion tickets in mere seconds for a tour that she is doing soon.
