Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
Great Satyrday Night Drive!! You really should call in. (Fun? absolutely!)
DS#1, Jennifer and Molly in the Dashboard. Topics:
- what a person hears when they first call in (to the Saturday Night Drive show)
- snow in Wyoming
- the shaping of an entire life, as a result of a purely incidental statement to a child (age range of 4 to 7)
- just what exactly the Post about looking back on your life really meant
- the demand on a Writer, to have the confidence to allow fictional characters to tell (the Writer) what to write next
- the Wakefield Doctrine 30 Minute Radio
- critique(s) on the 5 Episodes that have aired to date
- suggestions on how to present the Wakefield Doctrine in the next show
The Next Installment of the Birthday Party at the Calypso Club ( ’twas the night before clark’ an allegorical tale of three personality types) in which we learn the following
- the clarklike girl that Mel has hostagized (temporarily)? her name is Violet ( thanks to Melanie for the name which really fits the character)
- we meet ‘Meg’ for the first time, back in the kitchen, getting ready to help a friend in need, willing to do something she never thought she would find herself doing ( thanks to Stacy, who better watch out for her character, so could end up a source of trouble for everyone…)
- Jen (or Jenni) puts in an appearance and I have a feeling that she is going to be controversial to many Readers, ( thanks to Janine for this character, though I gots a feeling that the character will seem different than Janine might have envisioned … hint: a rogerian female as opposed to a clarklike female, who knows at this point?
- …will need to consult with Cyndi about her character, who she describes as, ‘an evil genius (and) he pretends to be nice, but oh, no, he’s evil!’ I think, Cyndi, that you are describing the CEO of the Company that everyone (nearly everyone) at the party works for, and yes he is definitely going to put in an appearance
- Emily offered this: “a guy named something like Jake who wants to sleep with all t he single and married women in the office…you know, the office sleazeball – every office and every party needs one of those, right?” well, we’re already there! Just need to change the name to ‘Jimmie’ (I mean, the frickin guy is throwing a birthday party for himself and invited everyone and…and there’s a girl jumping from a cake later on! Sleazy enough Emily? lol
- Michelle while Alex ( Ms. Delguidace to the newer employees) is a scott, please stay close, as I may need your input (as a rogerian female) ’cause something tells me that our Ms. Delguidice will be havin a bit of run in with a couple of rogers, later in the evening
The Wakefield Doctrine 30 Minute Radio Hour where we will be trying something new. Tune in this Wednesday at 4:00 pm EST on BlogTalkRadioWe’ve been experimenting with the format and structure of the show and now that we’ve done 5 episodes, it’s time to keep the good parts and throw the clunky stuff down on the damn ground.
Hey, anyone of you reading this with part of your mind saying, “OK you have my attention. This Doctrine thing sounds interesting and is fun and all, but you say that the Wakefield Doctrine is the best tool for self-improvement. Prove it.”OK, we will.Start tuning in to the 30 Minute Radio Hour. And keep three things in mind as you listen:
- the person you hear (for now) is a clark
- the Wakefield Doctrine maintains that you have the potential of all 3 personality types
- call in with a question. The one that you would ask if we were standing in line at a Dunkin Donuts and since there are 2 people ahead of us in line (and the first person in line has just unfolded a 8.5 by 11 yellow line sheet of paper), you know we have a minute so you turn to me and say, “you know, I’ve been wondering….”

Re vid: excellent example of how scottian women can absolutely control not just a sinlge individual but an entire “room”. She be Xtra hungry. LOL Right here – a fine lesson about scotts. In particular scottian women. This particular “character” could walk away with any man (in that bar) – clark, scott or a roger! Heck, this particular one could walk out with any woman!!
Haha! I’m LOVING the evil genius character. Glad the call-in went well. I was at my mother in law’s house, but one of these days I’ll call in. Promise. :)
@Cyndi
He doesn’t have a name yet, but as CEO of the Company, he sure sounds the part. Feel free to make the guy as real as possible ( have a visual of him… )
The Call-in is fun and (contains) very stimulating conversation.
Now I am so very looking forward to the new characters you are going to introduce on that fated birthday party. Wonder how you changed Jen or Jenni, too. Will have to wait patiently to see how this plays out.
@Janine
I will have the next installement this week. I am having a little trouble with how much to limit the scope of what I would write, open to any input, I am leary of getting north of 2000 words for a Post, but I don’t really know, not having tried anything like this explain-the-Doctrine-through-allegory thing.
btw Jen (or Jenni) will be office admin in charge of supplies and compliance, she will be an interesting character
This is gonna be one swinging party. And we will all be in attendance (cyber-istically speaking) to “think” “act” and “feel”. Laugh, scream, cry and whatever the hell else we want to do.
@Jennifer
true dat… (good call on the think-act-feel thing)
