Monday -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Friend of the Doctrine Mimi wrote:

Here’s a thankful, I ran into a rogerian expression “in the wild” so to speak. On the nextdoor app, a lady asked if local colleges have a dress code. She was saying if they don’t, they should, as these young people are beyond casual and let everything hang out, front and back. She said it “leaves nothing to the indignation!”

Damn! Significant? Well, here’s the link to the Page of rogers (as now amended). Now go to the next to the last entry in the list of ‘rogerian expressions’ then come back and tell the date on it.

We could, (and, full disclosure:sorely tempted to), wax rhapsodic on what this event demonstrates.

But the Doctrine is nothing if not helpful in self-improving oneself, so we’ll end today’s Brief post with:

If we still did Wakefield Doctrine hats (‘for your damn heads‘) and tee shirts that, by their being produced by a clark, demonstrate one of the qualities of my people: wear it out in public and you draw looks but any inquiry by strangers is markedly cautious*. lol

*will qualify that observation, there are clarks i.e. Mimi and our T-shirt model above (Cynthia) who are genuinely nice, friendly and not (necessarily) kinda intimidating. They would simply thank people for their solicitous complimentationing.

Wait!!! Reminder: Set your ducks and calendars and Muse intercession for this Thursday 27th of Augury and the Six Sentence Story Poetry Slam!!!

(We’ll: save you a seat, bring extra cigarettes have the coffee on… whatever fits your frame-of-reference.)

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

After reading the page of rogers, I’m beginning to think I might be a roger.

ok… the beauty part of the Wakefield Doctrine is how it’s value lies in the individual identifying with their predominant worldview*. So cool. Dive into it. Remember: You can’t get it wrong. Will do tomorrow’s post on rogers…see how you feel about that

      * reminder: optometrist ‘Look at Line 6 it is clear? Now (click of switching lens) How about now? And Is this clearer? Except the lenses are the world as seen by the three characteristic relationships (Outsider, Predator, Herd Member) and the letter chart is the world around you

Nice analogy — that optometrist thing.
