7) Friend of the Doctrine Mimi, she writes: ‘Here’s a thankful, I ran into a rogerian expression “in the wild” so to speak. On the nextdoor app, a lady asked if local colleges have a dress code. She was saying if they don’t, they should, as these young people are beyond casual and let everything hang out, front and back. She said it “leaves nothing to the indignation!” Hard to describe the manifestation of this Grat. Anytime we see the Doctrine applied to the personal reality of anyone not us, there’s a feeling of, my god! this thing is real. (ok, not so hard to too describe) Thanks! M (wondering what this rogerian expression thing is? it’s a primary characteristic of people who have Herd Member (roger) as their predominant worldview. So… follow this link to the Doctrine page on rogers and, almost at the bottom is a list of rogerian expressions.
8) Denise and her ‘hop hosted the Six Sentence Café & Bistro Poetry Slam for 2026. grat for that and for Chris for totally keeping everyone focused on the date and, new-to-the-Café, Reelika as rookie-of-the-year (in terms of the SSC&B not blogging which she has been around a while, Frank for adding the audio element to his contribution and supporting the Poetry Slam effort and Misky who, as always participated in a manner that makes it all look easy while contributing to certain elegance to the event.

Yes, indeed. That rock is right where it belongs.
It is instinctive to move a rock where not one person, but possibly many people would stumble into it, to a place where there is less probability of any human or animal colliding into it. Civic mindedness is in play.
The stump pedestal was waiting for its role to be realized.
Was granite used in the construction of the house or any part of your property?
How did a loose granite chunk decide to put in residence on your property?
Is there more to this story?
good question about the presence of granite (stones and boulders and ledge) it is the result of the melting of the glaciers during the last Ice Age. (We’re in southern Rhode Island, but the soil conditions are consistent throughout New England.)

follow up (Reply) no, the house is not constructed in granite there are, some very impressive buildings in the area that are, I will strive to take photos for future TToTs

I love the way you told the story, seems getting that rock out was an adventure… And it looks like a head on that stump lol.
nah, I’ll bet you’ve had those moments… for me it was recreational daydream time travel it wasn’t “what did they do back in those days’ more… “Ok like it or not, don’t bother trying to understand, but you’ve somehow gotten sent to 1673 (do this part right and you’ll feel a very brief dropping of the stomach as ‘the possibility‘ exerts some force) any way, I enjoyed my adventure* (it’s a clarklike thing)
