TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

This is the Ten Things of Thankful bloghop.

Created by Lizzi in the halcyon days of 1987, the TToT is currently hosted by Circe, Kansas’s native daughter, Dyanne.

The rules are simple, and by virtue of being, but suggestions, will aid in your enjoyment of this exercise, far, far more than they will burden you.

List the people, places and/or things that have recently, or in the past, elicited, stimulated or otherwise engendered a sense/feeling/state of gratitude.

For those of us here at the Wakefield Doctrine, this week’s citations:

1) Phyllis  —————————————————→

2) Una  ^

3) the Wakefield Doctrine sine qua non, is all, sine. qua. non.

4) the 20 Minute Real Estate Briefing (a work project) You could have us totally beholden to you, if’n you’d go over to our YouTube page Once there, you’ll notice a video has started playing, (it’s our most recent briefing). If you’d be so kind to click on the Subscribe button (and the Instagram and Twitter which are up in the lower right of the banner at the top of the page.) By doing so, you will help us get closer to the required number of subscribers for to be entitled to a custom url for our account.

5) Writing Practice (in the form of two serial stories): ‘the Case of the Missing Fig Leaf‘ and ‘the Whitechapel Interlude

6) the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules) which, for any bloghop dedicated to, built upon a theme, as the TToT, is very much a case of replacing the 8 Crayon Pack with a 64 Crayon Box (‘With Built-in Sharpener!’)

7) The Six Sentence Story hosted by Denise. A source of marvelous flash fiction, freshly written and posted every Thursday

8) THIS SPACE AVAILABLE (It’s true!) This, Item Eight, is reserved for anyone who, while finding the idea of participation attractive, hesitates. Write a ‘single’ Grat and pass it on in the Comments below, (am resisting the flashback to grade school…resisting….) too late, the only difference: while we will, in fact, share your message with everyone, the environment here, at the TToT, is markedly different from that of the fourth or fifth grade. One of the remarkable things about our host, Dyanne and her co-hostinae, Mimi, Pat and Lisa is that they remember. …what it is to be all the people in our little classroom metaphor. The note-writer, the note-passer, the note recipient, the teacher and/or the classmates/Readers that laugh, not to inflict pain, but to share in the human desire to connect.

9) something something

10) Secret Rule 1.3 [in part] “…[t]he progress (in) citing the precedent half of a List of Ten Things, ‘the first Five’ lends itself to the developing belief that the task will be successfully completed [ibid. ‘my god! I’m almost done!’] and, by virtue of being closer to Ten than to One ( ‘visus finis est, damn!‘) the feeling is valid as the final Grat.”

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Comments

  1. Pat Brockett says:

Your first video sounds like the perfect piece to introduce one of your serial stories when it gets made into a movie.
I wonder how many more boxes of crayons were sold after they started included the sharpener in the box? (I don’t even think we thought of sharpening crayons when I was growing up, well except for the person who thought what a good idea it would be to have a crayon sharpener.)

      (playing it now*)
…that’d be fun… the movie thing.
the 64 Pack was, in my timeline, owned by the kid who also had all the comic books (in plastic wrappers) or, the singularly artistically-talented kid.

      * really fun we you come across a cover that contributes something new…this is an example of that, I had no interest in the original by ‘Blondie’ back in the ’80s

  2. Tuned in to your video, and enjoyed it. Keep going!

  3. Subscribed!
Hey, Pat might be onto something :D Listened twice. Not bad cover.
I am most thankful for Dyanne and her wonderful co-hosts.

  4. dyannedillon says:

I have subscribed. Does that put me on some kind of government watch list now? And speaking of classrooms, every day, when I open YouTube to choose songs for my class for Movement, your video is going to pop up. That’ll be a hoot!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

I hope so! (the watch list thing)… lol
      thank you.
Such an experiment/demonstration of the value of the Doctrine for self-improvement.
We’re planning on doing something in the way of a ‘Welcome to our youtube site… here’s who we are and what we have kinda thing’
