Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Hey! Have I mentioned how I’ve decided that I need to bring back dome of the more…scottian style to this here blog here? Nothing too scottian. In fact, probably not scottian at all, in the eyes of a predominate scott or a roger in that mood.  It’s just that when I started writing this thing there was only a few people around and they already knew the Doctrine first hand and so I found myself coming up with provocative and somewhat inflammatory ways to express the principles and insights of the Wakefield Doctrine. It was fun. I’m in the mood for some more of that kind of post-writing. (No!! Christine and Jean and (even) Dyanne  don’t worry!  This is not going to be one of those times when (the guy you’re with on the second date or your husband at the family reunion) comes upon some kids skateboarding and jumping over shit and all and he says,  “hey! I loved to skateboard back in school…in fact, I was pretty good….watch this!!”)

In any event, this is Explanation Week, so be on the look out for some fun insights.

Monday: Establish this as Explanations Week

Tuesday: easiest-going day of the whole damn workweek… sort of the Vanilla Wafers of the workweek

Wednesday: the fulcrum the tipping point (I really hate the expression  ‘hump day’… that, frankly is a rogerian sub-conscious attempt to provoke a scott into contributing to whatever conversation is going on in the break room at the time… there is a perfectly good clark sitting right over there, but…nooo!  the rogers don’t think a response from a clark will do anything to enhance their own position in the herd…and…er oh, yeah, we’ll think of something fun!)

Thursday: the second installment of Thursday’s Guest Post Thursday!!

Friday: day off!

So lets get to some ‘splanations:

clarks are Outsiders and scotts are Predators and rogers are Herd Members… too basic?   yeah, I agree. Although… there was a time, in the early days, when some of the scotts were trying to object to the term ‘Predator’ saying it was inherently pejorative and not very nice  (lol… but the thing was, I ‘watched’ them as they said that and noted that they, (the scotts), were looking around when they raised that objection, not looking at me, looking at everyone else (sorta on the sly, ya know?)  and,  well, I discovered the Wakefield Doctrine during the day, but it wasn’t yesterday!  …so I helped the scotts see that they were not going to be able to spook the herd that easily!

hey!! I’ve been a bit remiss in the last week or so with getting to everyone’s Post at the TToT… not ‘proper’ (especially being the sole rep from the Y Chrome Province)… so, I hope you don’t mind, but I brought along some homework from the weekend. Posts that I wasn’t able to get to before the end of Sunday, will get to them in the course of the day, today. I trust Lizzi will not mind.
