‘…the post I would write’ the Wakefield Doctrine a personality theory that is unique, useful and fun!

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

post-659-0-07084900-1362236440

Sometimes, a Post begins with a phrase, a sentence fragment, a few words. It appears in our mind, like a surprise visit from the close relative of a dear friend showing up at our door just before we sit down to dinner, possessed of a logical certainty that borders on emotional authority, and it seems to insist, ‘hey, you know what you were thinking in the back of your mind this weekend’?

…I would write a Post about the increasing understanding of, (the underlying principles), the Wakefield Doctrine. We are discovering new metaphors that let us better understand what it is like to live in each of the three worldviews, new descriptions of the experience of each of the three personal realities. Like learning any language, our growing vocabulary results in an increased rate of learning. We practice by using the words of a foreign place, the landscape seems to come alive, there are people walking on the streets (metaphorically speaking, of course) but each new word brings us closer to fluency. (Perhaps someday to be mistaken for a native!) … this would be a part of the Post I would write.

…if I wrote the Post I would write, it would be telling of the adventures being embarked on by DownSprings and Friends of the Doctrine and other of those who follow this blog.  Cyndi who, starting today is going as a student to the school there, demonstrating for all of us that, have we the courage of our convictions, a path forward will open, albeit only a little section at a time, but still leading forward and Considerer who is finding out that which once seemed only to be endured is becoming a part of a source of new strength and peace and Melanie!  she is taking her dreams putting them in front and applying herself to giving life to the act of following her dream…and Girlie-on-the-Edge stepping with one step in the old and putting her weight on the other foot that is, in part, in the world of the new. Those are the kind of news items that I would put in a Post if I would write…

but instead, I think I will just do a ‘shout out’ (what an inappropriate expression, given the nature of this medium), to the increasing number of people who come to the Wakefield Doctrine and read for fun and for distraction, learning new ways to see the same world, knowing that the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers, while it says it is a theory of personality, in fact has no answers. The Wakefield Doctrine does not claim to provide answers about: why the people in our lives do the aggravating and annoying things, why our spouses can be so difficult one moment and so….necessary the next, why our children are able to cause us to feel fear one moment and utter peace in the next,  the Doctrine (will not) tell you the words to say to the overbearing boss or the girl we want to sleep with, the Wakefield Doctrine does claim… hell, it promises to offer a perspective that can provide, just maybe, a slightly different understanding of that other person and this extra way of seeing the world as they see it, might just make all the difference…

so good morning to: Michelle and Kristi and Jen and Jak and Janine and Stephanie and Kate and Amy and Christine and Joy and Dyanne and Katia

..like we usta,  music and out!

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Well, good morning, Clark!! Thanks for the shout out and providing a way for us to empathize with other world views!

      @Michelle

      And…GOod Evening, Michelle (lol) god I love this global thing…it’s so 21st Century. Thank you for your input from the rogerian worldview, (for a clark) your personal reality is even more difficult properly appreciate than is the world of our scottian brethren.

  2. Hey! As Downspring #1 let me say….thanks (NOT) for putting Elvin and that hook into my brain this Monday morning!

    As Girlie, I say thanks for the shoutout. More importantly, for providing links to people I’ve been meaning to visit but haven’t. Good way to start my day:)

    What’s been cool about the Doctrine Blog is not just meeting so many talented and interesting folks who hang out here, but being able to participate in conversations, talk about life, events and such in Doctrine “terms”. I’ve met total strangers (at first) and knew I didn’t have to worry they wouldn’t “get me” ‘cuz I knew they were fellow clarks.
    I’m more adept, quicker on the draw at handling scotts and honest to goodness I try real hard to better finesse the rogers in my life even though they often need the tough love. LOL

    OK. So much for testimonial Monday. Got to go.

  3. Slu says:

    Well… On my first cup and soaking this in. Have a great day Buddy… Slu

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Slu

      thanks man (yeah, I know that we have not yet reached the readership that we will be… but lets try something with Comments)

      hey! you (no, the person behind you!) go to Slu’s place read dat stuff!

  4. Your post made me smile today….and thank you for that! Had a stressful day late yesterday (don’t ask me why, I still have no idea), and promised to be calmer and more positive and relaxed today. So far, so good. Have a super day your side!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Melanie

      thats a good thing, yes?

      (Hey, remind me to tell you about the current status of the ‘Enemy of Not-Enough-Time-in-the-Day’ Project! I think I am on to something, have the core principles almost making sense, but must, like the mad scientist in the old movies, try it out on myself first to see if it works! Wish me luck, lol) Funny about clarks and ‘not feeling right’ for reasons that we can’t put our finger on… that is a clarklike thing and the best thing I can say is that it is as transitory as it is not-easily-understood-as-to-source.

      Still working on the video jam. I’m glad you did not stay up until 2am this last Saturday… it came off, but only with a lot of struggles, little things like my know where to ‘wait’ for the calls to gather! lol Michelle and Considerer and Cyndi did make it on… but only semi-sequentially. But the principle is sound and everyone still likes doing it, despite the rough edges. You are 1 hour off from Considerer (relative to my local time) so for the next one, I will be asking… what is the best time. (This is not just being accommodating, it is a matter of learning the ways of global conversation.) Will be in touch.

  5. Jak says:

    I know I never saw this post, because the comic-esque photo would have likely drawn me right in :) I feel I am exceptionally late to this party (as is usual, but…) and am a bit surprised I’m only the 4 or 5th guest to arrive. Then I notice someone has their name stricken out… and I wonder to myself… is this a shout out list… or in actuality… a hit list…

    So thank you very much for the shout out and… and good morning as it is still likely morning where you are now :) Unless this is a hit list… then pretend I was never here… or would that only perpetuate the outcome?

    Jak

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Jak

      …perpetuate the outcome.

      lol
      That cross out, is for reasons I don’t understand an effect with some links..I believe if you copy a Facebook link it comes out looking like that, as opposed to a real strike-through.
