Good Drive, interesting insights a couple of lines of enquiry that should have been apparent…were not, but are now!

I spend an inordinate amount of time in my car and have made various attempts to find a way of using my driving time more productively. I have tried audio recorders and video recorders.** Good ideas, but I still had to sit and listen to myself talk and transcribe the whole thing. Useful as a reminder of a certain idea or explanation, but not very time-saving.

Then it occurred to me that maybe my ‘bright-but-not-brilliant’ phone might have ‘an app’ that would translate my spoken words into typed words. Well I was at the office yesterday, but there were no rogers around, so I thought, what the hell! and I asked a scott (one with a strong secondary clark aspect) and she suggested the email function (on my underachiever-but-will-ace-the-exam phone) and there it was! A little microphone icon and when I spoke, it typed! not only that but I could email it to myself!

Yeah, I know old joke. Still fun to see it in print.

And speaking of the fun of ‘seeing it in print’ lets remind Readers:

• clarks are the personality type that is representative of the appropriate behavior for a person living as ‘the outsider’; if you are a clark the following statement is obvious:  “I am here and the world is out there”
• scotts are the personality type that develop in the world of the predator, ‘they act therefore they are’,  a scott alone in a room, isn’t;  you want something done meticulously? ask a roger, you want something impossible done? ask a clark if you want something real bad, but you don’t know if you should?…ask a scott
• rogers are the world, they are society they are the Judges at Salem,at Nuremberg, the Atlantic City, at American Idol; rogers don’t create the Standards but they live them, rogers build the machines that always work and the societies that strangle innovation, rogers are the victims of their own creations, all while trying to find a ‘stand-in’
• but we, you and the person that you are thinking about telling this about are mostly one of these three and partly the other two.

I am including this youtube clip for the clarks out there… you will know why  (for the handful of rogers and scotts who might wonder, it has to do with how Hendrix plays nearly the entire solo from the 12th fret position.)
