Whensday, Whensday -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Ah! Wednesday!

Resonating the attitude of the sullen member of grammar school society who sufficiently ingratiates themselves to the teacher and are selected to ‘watch the class’ for the occasional hypo-teacher mornings/afternoons.

It is said, ‘Pride goeth before the fall’ Sure, true enough,

What they don’t say is ‘Hope lights the path right up to the cliff’s edge.’

What does this have to do with either ‘the Wakefield Doctrine’ or Whenaday?

Don’t tell anyone, but it’s kind of an unintended* test for new Readers.

We often wonder, (as recommended in books about how to research the market for your new book), about those who come to this blog and stay around.

Couple of quick and easy assumptions about the more recidivist among you out there:

  • you’re a clark (and theyfore ‘get it’ right out of the gate)
  • more than that, there are some (visitors) who are exceptional. not only in absorbing the principles of this thing but are able to extrapolate further insights afforded by this alternative perspective on the world around us and the people who make it up… like Cynthia, Lizzi (yep! the founderess of the TToT), Denise and Mimi
  • while not everyone brushing up against a Wakefield Doctrine post, (on a boring day), is a clark. after all, besides the Outsiders (clarks) the world is populated by Predators (scotts) and Herd Members (rogers). thing of it is, we can say with confidence that those who visit (and don’t immediately click away) have what we refer to as a significant secondary clarklike aspect**
  • we ended up (back in the early days) asserting that those who find the Wakefield Doctrine interesting and/or fun are those with an active curiosity and a pretty-damn solid confidence in their own intellects

ok

done for today

Tomorrow is Six Sentence Story bloghop day. Hosted by Denise, its a fun and challenging writing-prompt ‘hop

Stop in… tell ’em the Doctrine sent ya

* reg’lar Readers be all, ‘Yeah, like this is planned and you had this thesis in mind before the typety-typing started’

** ok, ok! cheatsheet version: the relationship you establish (as the youngest of humans) with the world is the context in which you develop your personality (social strategies and such). If the character of your personal reality is that of Outsider…guess what what personality type you are? lol etc. Only one predominant worldview per person per life. We do retain a certain potential, predilection for ‘the other two’ and sometimes they can exert an influence on a person’s life hence the secondary clarklike aspect in (some) scotts and rogers.

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Frank Hubeny says:

Good point that hope lights all paths, even those one shouldn’t be on.

  2. It all depends on the source of your hope.

Our Bible study group tonight was talking about our Scottian female member and one noted if she sits on the couch, it only seats two instead of three because she seems to take up more space, not physically but presence wise. Someone else overheard this and noted she takes up the whole room, and she really does, and we love her and wouldn’t have her any other way.

      lol

(and… not to scare the New Readers, but scotts are surely the easiest to identify… it’s their eyes. The eyes of a scott… thanks! sounds like we have a topic for Friday)
