Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
welll, we are finding ourselfs, looking to draft the Wednesday Doctrine-post with ‘an embarrassment of riches’
Frank, he say:
Today I will wear the clark glasses.
There was, in the early days of this here Doctrine here, exploration of (any) relative anathema/inherently antagonistic relationship among the three predominant worldview.
There are. As reported by each of the three:

- A clark cannot imagine being comfortable (read: illusion of control) living in the personal reality of a roger
- A scott would run away from the notion of being stuck in the life of a clark
- A roger could not live (and remain sane) as a scott a world devoid of shared tradition and the comfort of association
Pretty simple, isn’t it?
Fine. One hint for each:
- for a clark there will always be an element of ‘difference from’ that makes being part of a Herd impossible
- scotts are of the here and now, the rules of existence are as simple as it sounds: live act eat sleep*
- rogers are not merely ‘of the Herd’ they (collectively) are the Herd and cohesion requires shared values

I must be a clark. I don’t think I would be comfortable (though I would put up with it if I must) living under the illusion of control that the roger has.
just one last check: (without thinking, what is 2+2?)

lol (whew! I thought I had left out the 2nd 2! Not that I never zone-out when writing posts lol)
the question* is how much is 2 + 2? (or another way of framing the question: What is the sum of 2 added to 2… or ‘If you add 2 to 2 what do you get?)
* the question is one of my favorite quick identifiers of the predominant worldview of a person… and since we do not approve of deliberate ‘gotcha type questions here at the Doctrine… the outcome (that identifies the three personality types)
ask a scott this question and they will laugh (watch closely and you might see their nostrils flare and maybe tilt their heads slightly
ask a roger this question and they will say 4 (or four)… maybe look a little, ‘what’s with the stupid question?’
ask a clark this question and more often than not, they’ll respond: “In what context?”
so this little ‘trick question’ is actually a fun test to flush out the clarks in a room
