Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

This is the Doctrine’s weekly contribution to the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) bloghop. Foundered by Lizzi Rene in 1887 during the Reign of Leather Apron, the blog had nearly everything; a spirit of sharing, a sense of humor and a dedication to practice the art of remedial attitude adjustment. It lack only one thing: an internet and it’s bastard child, the blogosphere. She persevered and, ultimately, triumphed over time by simply persevering.

Each week we invite all to create a list of those people, places, things and events that have inspired, engendered and stimulated a state of gratitude.

7) Since we recently did a shout-out to the Hosts and Hostinae (as a Grat), what say we do that for participants? Hey! Aptivi! ‘sup? Not a new participant, actually a longstanding TToT’er, Lady Manila. Lillian and, by no means new, wave at Reelika.

8) something, something

9) that ‘something, something‘ in Grat 8? It’s a true thing and a legitimate Grat. It is meant for a certain, (fortunately for the rest of you), limited demographic at this grat bloghop (as well as others). Some people are less facile when it comes to experiencing certain emotions, much less expressing them. So if you’re reading this and thinking “yeah, don’t think I got the grats? Two words: “See all those photos above? Booyah! And your little dog too. Join in this week and the Doctrine will provide one free Grat for your list. Just to get ya started.”

*not so much a new category or definition of the basic unit of the TToT lists, more like hypograts. obviously a totally optional discrimination for participants. for the record lets define it as ‘We’re grateful that you’re grateful.” In this case, the photo is of Phyllis driving (on an old logging road through the woods) to her cottage.
