TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

the other half of this week’s Hypograt… don’t see this when we drive home, at least not today

This is our contribution to the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) bloghop. Each week, those so inclined, write and link a list of the people, places, things and events that has caused them to experience gratitude. It can be those interactions with others in the course of the week leading up to now or a list of people who, at some point in the past made them think, ‘I really need to remember this when the finally 21st C arrives with the technology to usher in an Age of Information and Enlightenment.

For this week our list of Grats are as follows:

1) Phyllis

2) Una

3) the Wakefield Doctrine

4) the Six Sentence Story bloghop

5) ongoing yard project involving bees and tree stumps and such (r. hendrix? a little imagery? ‘battlegrounds, red and brown’ (vid ‘Spanish Castle Magic’ below) current state of the conflict:

6) Front Meadow Update (the wheat is taking a beat(ing)) i.e. dog and rabbits

7) hypo-grat Summer’s End this weekend. (at least it hasn’t snowed…yet) lol for now of Phyllis’ cottage

8) something, something

9) ‘Tree-rat’s Morning Wudu

10)  Secret Rule 1.3

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

    I love Phyllis’s cottage.

    Hope your week is lovely.

  2. Frank Hubeny says:

You seem to have been very busy on the yard project.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

going slower now as I’m being quite careful with the yellow jacket issue.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

yeah. totally enjoy this time of year as it remains the one chance to break a sweat (physical exercise-wise)

  3. Cai says:

The grounds look good in summer. Bee hives are nasty. Good luck.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

thanks. yeah and being yellow jackets they build their hives underground, in the dirt and soil even, so way less obvious. am being patient. a single layer at a time until they get the message and move on

  4. The cottage looks so inviting. I hope you can convince the yellow jackets to move elsewhere.

  5. That cottage is so cute. I image myself living in something like this when am old with cats and a dog and no desire to go out to “peopely” places haha.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

I’ll relay your compliment to Phyllis, once she gets out her crooked-tree-root-staff and tattered cloak and hobbles (slowly) back to the house lol

  6. No giant gloves? Beekeeper helmet?! Yellow jackets are purported to be very aggressive. God speed. Plans for the cleared area?
The chipmunk is cute! Surprised you were able to take its picture.
Alas, the light has changed and the summer wane begins. Enjoy every minute.

*sorry Frank, it might help to know I am aware of the more profane dynamics of over-confidence even as I make the joke
