Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
This is the Wakefield Doctrine’s contribution to the weekly grat bloghop, the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT).
Below is our list of the people, places, things, events and dogs that have elicited a state of gratitude at one time or another
1) Phyllis
2) Una
3) the Wakefield Doctrine
4) work is a challenge, as are most of the more interesting aspects of life. the Instagram thing (the reels, pretty much are our primary foray into the toxically youthful world of social media) are coming along. Stop by. kind of a Post but shorter. (ikr? soul of wit, yo)
here’s a link to my real estate agent page on the Facebook (the only place I could find that lets one watch our reels.)
5) the Six Sentence Story bloghop
6) the cold has moderated but the pond is still frozen
7) technology for all of the above including the canines who, with the exception of Ola were found online. In the case of Una, we were totally dependent on technology, specifically google translate, as the breeder was located in the Czech Republic. Which, for a pleasant change, she (the breeder) spoke as little English as se understood Czech.
8) something, something
9) and… a Husky
10) Secret Rule 1.3

Excellent photo of baby Una, surely feeling much at home sitting in the snow.
Thanks for providing the link to your RE FB page. Kudos on doing the reel thing, although you were kind of doing that on the short Doctrine vids from back in the day. Only here. A way more expansive place in the insta world, isn’t it.
Frozen ponds = skating. (I miss it – yes, I would still enjoy it as much, lol)
And.. a Husky. Ready for anything at a moment’s notice, isn’t she!
thank you…fun (the reels) frozen water… not so much
Nice updates and good music videos.
(don’t tell anyone, but finding the music videos are the most fun in TToT(ing))
So many thankful things, especially the dogs.
perfect lifeforms is all they are, no?
(and the felines as well, I take on faith never having had a relationship with their kind) but, hey! four legs and a tale is four legs and a tail, am I right?
Those blue eyes!
We’ve had a remarkable lack of snow this year–just a couple of days, here and there, and not much accumulation. It looks like your pond is frozen through and through.
agree, remarkable.
at this writing we’ve had the small amount of snow from the last (the 2nd of two) event is melted away. If the pattern from last Winter obtains, that may be it for the year! Here’s hoping.
We are very fortunate to have had three dogs and a husky.
The TToT made me smile, thank you
Enjoyed watching the reels, and the husky has beautiful eyes.
they’re fun (the reels)… and the husky
these videos are excellent examples of the effect of a significant secondary scottian aspect in a clark (photophobia is endemic in my people)
