Tuesday -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

ProTip: can’t think of anything to post? That’s why god invented repetition.

PopQuizlette: which of the three predominant worldviews: clarks (Outsiders), scotts (Predators) and rogers (Herd Members) are most comfortable with repetition? Which (of the three) is least (comfortable)?

Hey, this would be a good time to restate the standard scene for illustrating the differences between the personality types of the Wakefield Doctrine while, simultaneously demonstrating the Everything Rule:

The weather in the small city/large(ish) town is nice. Warm and sunny*.

Scene: city sidewalk. opposite from where the momentarily in non-conflict clark, scott and roger stand, is a restaurant. it is lunch time. the restaurant is one of the most popular in the area. there is a line out the door, along the sidewalk, at least eight patrons-to-be long. normal (for this eatery).

the clark stares at the line and thinks about traps

the scott scans the line and leans slightly out of vertical but remains in dynamic balance

the roger looks over the line and feels good that Life has provided the opportunity for them to practice the Right Way

there ya go!

*will, of course, allow dispensation to Friend of the Doctrine, Chris, being stuck on the winter side of the globe at the time of this writing. not for nothin’ but she’d do it for any of us if the positions were reversed,

[ed. not certain geographics of newer Reader, cai on location**]

** your Curator, being a clark (with a strong secondary scottian and weak tertiary rogerian aspect) is sharing-deprived by virtue of our drive-to-privacy1, so we leave it to them to state, or not state, this information

1) probably should do a quick post on the manifestation of the personal need (or lack thereof) for privacy on three. (Hint: it is detractive***  to a clark and totally empowering to a rogerscotts? meh)

*** not a ‘real’ word… we think

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Hmmmmm (as our Chris would say) … interesting. 😂 8? Queueing for food: nope, not going to happen in this lifetime. I call ahead, make reservations, and waltz through the queue.

But — how are the 3 with repetition? I’ve listened to the same playlist for a week now and I’m looking forward to another week. And when I go to our favourite restaurant, I always order the same thing. I know what to expect and it never fails to meet my expectation.

normally I would concur. possible cultural difference here (southern New England) there are restaurants that do not accept reservations. (tend to be on the casual side of dining, yeah knock me over with a feather) but then again, consciously or otherwise the existence of a line of people willing to stand in the sun (often this kind of venue caters to the breakfast crowd)… can you think of anything more catnip to the rogerian gourmand (aka picky but hungry) demographic?
      lol

The cat in the photo has an expressive look. It was probably waiting for its people to return to fill its bowl or at least give it a treat.

Thank you for the link and roll of honor.

  3. It is a trap. No food is that good, and even if it is, once you’ve eaten, there or elsewhere, you’ll be just as happy.
