Weekend ReCap -the Wakefield Doctrine- “…know not wherefore.” err… “but wherefore, I know not”1

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and roger)

Nothing like a Shakespeare line-fragment, to grab your attention, no?

We were discussing the three predominant worldviews this weekend* and the topic strayed to trolls and Commentors (on posts and stories and such) who might raise a question as to propriety or position or opinion and all the stuff that would appear to occupy the minds of those of us in the virtual world in general, the blogosphere in particular. We thought about and said, ‘No, that has never been an issue here at the Wakefield Doctrine blog.’

‘a course, being a clark, we quickly added, “But that’s probably because of the limited number of people who encounter this thing of ours.”

True and True.

But, (the conversation continued), what’s important is that Readers, visiting for the very first time, get that there is no ‘Good’ personality type or (“God! Don’t say I’m one of those!!”) predominant worldviews.

There are only three ‘personality types’ in the Wakefield Doctrine.

  1. clarks (Outsiders)
  2. scotts (Predators)
  3. rogers (Herd Members)

A good way to learn about, (and appreciate), all three is: all three, in a dynamic balance, stand in for a most-highly developed person.

(The Wakefield Doctrine is: gender, age, culture and pretty much every other qualifier you might come up with, neutral.)

The point of taking advantage of the Wakefield Doctrine as (an) additional perspective on the world around us and the people who make it up, is to better appreciate the world, as the other person is experiencing it.

And, by doing so, improve our insight into how we relate ourselves to the world around us.**

out!

1) Just to eliminate any doubt as to who’s a clark…and to illustrate an interesting aspect of the Doctrine that we lack the time to explore this morning…. We were sure we had the quote correct. We did check…ayiiee! lol

*lol yeah, I know this weekend (as if that shouldn’t be ‘this moment….’)

** traditional foot note: We didn’t write: ‘How we relate to the world around us…’ we wrote: ‘How we relate ourselves to the world around us…’***

*** CliffNote: the onus is upon each of us to better understand (and accept) the ‘ourselves’ that we are

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one
