Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
Easy one, no? I mean, serially, there was: a roadtrip with our dog, going to a place on the shore of a salted sea, wide bridges that arched over salt ponds and harbors, mingling with strangers who brought their dogs to breakfast, slowly and quietly finding passage through urban blight only a car-width away, through a clean windshield gazing at cages, tall and cold and finding electrons turned flesh and blood, exchanging keystrokes for hugs that conveyed warmth and life.
That was my week ….your’s?
photos of yesterday and the week before….
(oh yeah, 6) the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules, 10) SR 1.3)

…finally, as always, there’s:
ok… link up, binyons!
Your hosts
i left a note on the email stream about the link… hope it helps… It was a fun weekend, duct tape and all…
I loved last weekend. Love the Hendrix reference and your descriptions. Hope Una had a good time. Such a sweet girl.
…not certain why I should be so pleasantly surprised at your enjoying the use of lyrics…. I didn’t think the younger generation followed that music closely enough to connect to a lesser known song of his (from the first album, ‘Are You Experienced’)
Love the lyrics and they fit so perfectly of what I think when I see that kind of view as well. Tampa and Atlanta come to mind for me.
Is there anything better than a dog enjoying a car ride? I don’t think so!
I was trying to figure out how you would even get your car to go 6 km/hr, then I realized it was actually 6 m/hr, which is still probably slower than the average turtle.
lol… see? (there have been those who have tried to say that taking Una for a walk in my car was not as good as, like, well…walking I say ‘hey! we cover a lot more ground which means she gets to smell a lot more things)
yeah… the lyric jumped into my mind as the housing came into view (amazing, seeing how I first listened to that album in 1969 …and subsequently, of course!)
dogs do ‘enjoyment’ pretty much perfectly.
Glad you had a great time!
Well, I’m just disappointed I didn’t make your list. Talked to Lizzi more about the WD. How Scott can I get, huh?
Sarah
what do you mean, ….”…electrons turned flesh and blood, exchanging keystrokes for hugs that conveyed warmth and life.” you were one of the few people I actually hugged at the First Annual Wakefield Doctrine Global Pancake Breakfast!
Love the pictures. Hope the bed and breakfast was a great place to stay. It sounds like the group of you had a great time.
thanks… yes, we totally did have a good time.
