“…Jane his wife” the Wakefield Doctrine ‘where life is a metaphorical allegory’

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

"…come on, clark, it's not like anyone is actually going to read this….no one real, at least

“…come on, clark, it’s not like anyone is actually going to read this….no one real, at least

rogers/ scotts? please stop read until we call you back, this is strictly for clarks….

(…I mean it, scott!)

I guess I need to take my own advice, at least every now and then. I’m running into a brick wall… made of a sticky viscous material that pulls me in, rather than allowing me to be decently knocked-out, over on the side of the road, to wake up a little later, bruised but amnesia-ed of the sequence leading to the aforementioned brick wall/clark interaction. I am grateful that this is not a full-on, pulled-by-the-ankles under the bed/into the storm drain event, but it is tiring, discouraging and/or other unpleasant enough as it is.

But we have the Wakefield Doctrine to serve as a, carefully labeled (in small, slightly militaristic block lettering), tent that says: screw it, that voice and that anxiety is not unique, the others have heard the same voice and by that fact, it loses the Power of: ‘no-one-can-hear-me-but-you-and-I-need-to-tell-you-something-about-yourself-that-you-may-not-want-to-hear’ Voice.  And, because of the Doctrine,  I can hear the other clarks thinking/saying ‘damn!’ or ‘yeah, that fuckin’ voice’… or ‘hey, clark, not to worry, we’ll throw the guest’s coats over you…crawl out and join us when you’re ready’

(thanks, guys… that is so much better than: ‘hey, cheer up’ or ‘you know, you should try positive thinking‘ or the worst of all,  ‘I think you should grow up and act your age,  you have so much going for you’…. guess I should call those scotts and rogers back)

Tonight! Tonight …. y’all know what day today is, right?    Tonight is Friday, so that can mean only one thing it’s

‘the Wakefield Doctrine presents, ‘the Awesome Bloggers VidChat (doncherknow)’!!

You totally have to join  Lizzi (‘Jane’) and Michelle (‘Judy’)  for an hour (or two) of repartee, conversation, useful advice, dirty jokes and a celebration of  ‘the Life 21st Century-istically’   (with Chat ‘regulars’ zoe and Denise … and Kristi Campbell as ‘the Kristi’

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

well, more in the sense of how the video chats (even more than blogging) is so the 21st Century, ya know?

  2. Ah see, now I missed ALL of that, but taking it sideways into George was pretty clever, I thought…

  3. zoe says:

    hey Clark,
if you want I’ll just distract everyone while you run for the back door…

      zoe

that’s what I like about you, nothing fancy deal with it directly (which, as every good clark knows: out of sight, out of mind… Piaget would have loved the Doctrine)

      • zoe says:

funny you should mention that. I was thinking I could distract the crowd by trying to assimilate by doing my scott imitation a la piaget! Lol. Yeah…I’m still crackin myself up…

  4. …as the….nice touch:)
