Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
Hey, you got questions? We will totally answer them, you know.
clarks: the Outsiders, for them the world is ‘out there’
scotts: the Predators, live to act/act to live
rogers: the Herd Members, they know that the universe is quantifiable and there are Rules (‘referential authority’)
Hey! I got a Comment! from Noah Conti @ yahoo.com, and he says,
“This post presents clear idea designed for the new visitors of blogging, that really how to do blogging.”
I suspect someone’s soon-to-be-world-famous-personality-types-blog is on someone’s spam list! lol

Yes…if I don’t sense some crazy-intense “stare,” I pretty much know that the person is a clark or a roger. Haha. But I do get those confused, still, sometimes, but it’s like you said: ask how they relate to the world. This is why my nephew was kind of hard to guess. He’s a clark-scott, but at first I thought he was the roger world view – because he’s so different than I am as far as clarks go…he’s got an intensity and completely doesn’t understand how other people cannot think like he does and is quite combative about it, but once we talked about it during our study hour it made sense: he’s still the outsider.
I gotta say, he’s kind of a scary outsider. Apparently he’s bi-polar and ADD, too…and he’s an anarchist…and sort of emanates a negativity…and I’m not quite sure what to think of him. :\ I think those mental diagnoses sometimes make it difficult to pinpoint the exact personality type, too.
In any case, knowing that he’s a clark-scott at least helps me to understand that he’s completely passionate about his beliefs; I just hope he finds good use for his passions. Oy vey.
@Cyndi
(smiles) just because we know why a person behaves the way that they do doesn’t always can we can do something (about it)* and remember, the Doctrine is for you, not for them.
*and god knows we clarks want to believe that we can do something to help… not always the best course of action…funny to, when you think about our relationship as the Outsider.
