A Saturday Afternoon Post the Wakefield Doctrine the Winner of the Name the Story Contest!!

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

All of the suggestions and recommendations, entries and offerings for a Title for the ongoing series of stories that we are running in order to allow us to illustrate the three personality types in a ‘real life'(!) setting are in and it is time to announce the Winner.

The Nominees are:

“Ain’t No Party Like a WakeDoc party (cuz a WakeDoc Party Don’t Stop)”  from Cari  over at ‘Meet My Husband’     ( damn! girl not just sending in Title, but a soundtrack!  lol)

“The Wakefield Doctrine Frequency”   Kelly over at ‘Real Housewife‘ ( …you are too young for a classic movie, more precisely a classic movie scene…the movie ‘Scanners’  lol I am liking this Title for the overtones)

“It’s Not a Party Without a scott”
“It All Began at The Calypso”

“See How They Dance”
Midnight at The Calypso”   Jennifer over to ‘the Three Personalities‘  ( I am so getting visuals of college-centric parties )

“Three Great Characters, Sadly Used and Put Away Blank”
Twas the Night Before Clark”
entry from Stacy  who writes ‘Ramblings of an Undiagnosed Madwoman‘  ( nice…nice…)

A Night in the Life According to a Clark, A Roger and A Scott, too!!”  from our friend  at  ‘Janine’s Confessions of a Mommyaholic’  (directed by Coppola, no doubt!)

“She Walked Iinto The Party…”  Emily at  ‘OhBoyMom’   nice rhythm there!

“The Wakefield Doctrine Gone Calypso”
“A Menagerie at the Calypso”
“Cloying Characters at the Calypso Club”
“Hold the Door – The Calypso is Waiting”                      Cyndi over to the  Pictimilitude and them

I want to thank everyone for their contributions to our little Contest. As with most Contests, the difficult part is choosing among the very creative, interesting and amusing Titles. But the deadline is here.

The Winner is… (”  what??! are you quite sure?  …no, nothing it’s just that this is rather irregular! …well, because this is a series of stories, …well, if you must know I cannot understand how they couldn’t make a simple…no, you’re right, I was not asked…since you mentioned it first, I do think, well lets just say, clarklike is an adjective that comes to mind…nothing we can do,  hell, our job to announce the Award and the prize, it’s his job to explain how it’s going to make any sense… yeah, I agree they are all a rather nice bunch… lol no, I can’t think of how, either! maybe he has a roger or a scott on the side, writing this stuff for him… well, ours not to reason why   lol  yeah! …”and such”  god, how does he get away with using such odd and deliberately messed up English, especially with this new group of Readers…they must be congenitally polite or maybe they’re just afraid to provoke him… bet the Winner overlooked the ‘nearly free’ qualification on the Prize… ha ha well, I’ll  give the DownSprings and the others credit, good photos of them too… well, can’t put this off any longer. )

…. DS#1 for “Collision at The Calypso Club – Where Worldviews Bump & Grind”  and
……Stacy for “Twas the Night before clark”

Congratulations!!
(er  no! Stacy! no need to take off you shirt right at the moment! you will receive your DocTee in the mail in about a week…please!  please stay seated….Security!  can we get someone from Security over here?)

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

    Thank you for the nomination! lol I absolutely LOVE what Stacy came up with too – that is perfect and I’d have had a hard time choosing in that pool. I am dying laughing over here – thanks for that too:)

      @Kelly

      Yeah, the whole from the BB were is pretty rare form on this one, I totally enjoyed trying to present the submissions and everyone’s contributions.

  2. Stacy Harris says:

    Darn it darn it… you warned me too late! LOL

    Ok – now when is it my time to give my acceptance speech….err… ahem.. well, I would like to thank all those bloppy bloggers for constantly allowing me to explore both my creative and sarcastic… oh who am I kidding. When there was no pressure it just popped in my head! LOL

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      @Stacy

      How can you not have too many visuals, all in a 1960’s Academy Awards setting (sorry to go all historic on ya)… but then again I was just a kid wacthing when David Niven had a streaker get out on the stage. lol
      ..the fun, say what you will about insightful and useful personality theories, if they don’t result in you and your friends enjoying a surprise laugh across the virtual world, what the hell good are they!

  3. Honor to be nominated and congrats to my girl Stacy, who totally deserves the award :) :)

  4. Karen says:

    Ok this Scott fell behind due to the chaotic life of being in a family which tends to have a lot Rogers and all want to crowd in at one location for weekend and pretend to like each other. But with that off the list of things to do this year. Congrats to the winner Stacy!!
