the Doctrine Marches On!

 a) Welcome
b) Wakefield Doctrine
c) Theory
4) clarks, scotts and rogers

An admittedly odd way to start a Post (even for these Letters), but we wanted to Comment briefly on the increasing sucess in our efforts to spread the word about the best damn personality theory on the whole damn planet.

A few shoutouts before we start:

  • to our boy glenn, cheer up! (glenn is in the midst of a timeline shift, which even though it is a totally cool and beneficial shift, the experience itself is tres uncomfortable. That, by virtue of his knowledge of the Wakefield Doctrine, he is aware of the shift while it happens, only makes the transition more unpleasant). But we know glenn will be seeing some amazing returns on his new musical venture. He is (…finally!) beginning to perform his music in public, and already getting great feedback.
  • to the roger, more and more people finding the Secessionist Rag!! While he will insist that they numbers don’t mean anything, don’t believe it! The kind of effort our Progenitor puts into each of his Posts gives lie to that claim! As a roger he writes with a style that is both inviting and pleasing, subject matter notwithstanding! In fact, as you read his growing oeuvre, you will see him personify the nature of rogers by his own efforts. (Talk about psycho-analyzing and dramatizin), very good stuff and proof and validation of  the very personality theory that owes part of  it’s original name to!
  • AKH (Ms.) our functioning scottian personality at present, thank god we have her otherwise our Saturday Night Drives would end up in the Wakefield PD impound within the first 10 minutes. For those of you following the Doctrine of late, the discussion is now beginning to focus on the effect of the Doctrine on it’s advocates, a subject that by it’s very nature engenders disagreement. But the effects cannot be ignored, Ms. AKH being a ‘case in point’! A scott who has an affinity approaching actual talent in matters concerning the internet in general and on-line blogs specifically! As we say around the Doctrine, damn! Of course, this is evidence of the development of the rogerian aspect of our Ms AKH’s personality. Proof of the Doctrine is always more effectively demonstrated by the actions of people, as opposed to a description. Plus she be writin’ a blog that demonstrates that people cannot resist a scott! Read all about it here.
  • DS#1 is the current ‘experimental paradigm‘ of the Wakefield Doctrine ( the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers ) All you need to do is read her damn blog! Tell us we’re lying!
  • We are also putting out, Doctrine-style over at this place called Hub Pages, where you can find not only Wakefield Doctrine related Posts but also Una related Posts. We suggest you go over there and read some of them Hubs (what they call Posts) we are hearing from Readers (who are also writers as well!)
  • The Doctrine is getting all international in the house!  We have a Reader, Fabri writing in from the southern half (hemispherically-speaking) good to hear from the werld and we feel good about the fact that Fabri gots the basics of this here Doctrine here!  Also a Reader going by the nom de plume (yeah, glenn we talkin funny, yes we are clarklike) in any event Whikat has a blog, go read read it!
  • Hey! Readers in Sacramento and Seattle! We know you out there, write us a Comment and we send you a hat (for your damn heads)! ….that goes for you too, Plano, Tx!

Well, thats about all the news and shoutouts and such.

The response to our video Post ( Audio-exotica… ) has been positive, so look for another installment later this week. Also write to glenn and find out where he be playing in the coming week! (Support live scotts! )

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Comments

  1. Glenn Miller says:

Freddy! Fred Eaglesmith–years ago. Looks a bit different now. I play this song. Usually get s a laugh. Other great songs by Fred–Alcohol and Pills, The Rocket, White Rose, –becoem a Fredhead. It’s fun.

  2. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

dude! we all look a bit different now…lol

  3. Downspring#1 says:

“live scotts”. Good one… “hold on to him Capt.! he’s a live one!”. Not necessary to add the “scott” as it would be redundant, yes?

Hey, about your comment clarkscottroger. Who among the types “ages” the best?

  4. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

lol thats easy! clarks, of course!*

    scotts? one word: “couragge!”
    rogers? one word: “Nancy Kerrigan”**

    * why? cause we are born old…have a lot of practice
    ** …”whyyy? why meeee?!”

  5. Downspring#1 says:

    I know:)

“That’s because you were born older George”. (The character) George Baily was quite the clark.

  6. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

AKH! glenn? Fabri! Anyone want to weigh in?

  7. Fabri says:

Too bad I can’t access youtube while at work. ;|

I’m losing a lot of content because of that but soon I’ll watch’em all at home.

That’s one of the advantages of being born old, you age better cuz’ your mind is already used to the feeling and all the implications aging brings to your life.

Like I’ve said before I feel like I belong to another era, but what the hell let’s enjoy it.

It reminds me the last lines of the Monty Python song “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”..

“I mean – what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing
    – you’re going back to nothing
    What have you lost? Nothing!”

Being born old means you’re self conscious at a younger age, means you’re aware of the shit that’s going on and therefore lose hope way before the age you’re supposed to do that (when you start working and paying your bills).

I can say I’m nihilistic and believe firmly in determinism, that also means there’s no salvation for the likes of me ;P

  8. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

no, of course there isn’t lol (salvation for the likes of you)

there is a saying about clarks:

clarks can believe anything and can always imagine an additional possiblity, that is one aspect of being (truly) creative., unfortuantely the price of being comfortable with endless possibility is that there is no certainty, so while we will say there is no salvation (for the likes of us) we are laughing when we say because we know that it is not really salvation that we need…salvation is validation from an external authority…too bad we don’t believe in those…lol

glad you are still with us…while you continue to get old, you gonna take us up on the Offer to make you our next DownSpring? there is a little work that must be done on your part ( mostly you have to be quizzed by the DownSprings)…but I have confidence in you ( afterall, you seem to be clarklike)….and after you pass the test, you will get a (nearly free) Wakefield Doctrine hat (for your damn head) and maybe you can start a Wakefield Doctrine chapter down in your own locale (ask the DownSprings about the Treaty of Tosedias)… damn! you could drive around on Saturday nights ( Doutrina Wakefield Drive de Sábado à Noite ?) and call us up at the same time!!

  9. Downspring#1 says:

Damn! Double damn! Send Fabri a hat now! That’s some kinda clarklike shit you wrote Fabri. Welcome fellow clark….lol!
You mince no words. I particularly like and agree with your statement: “Being born old means you’re self conscious at a younger age, means you’re aware of the shit that’s going on and therefore lose hope way before the age you’re supposed to do that”.
No, wait a minute. Think I like this one better: “That’s one of the advantages of being born old, you age better cuz’ your mind is already used to the feeling and all the implications aging brings to your life.”

Monty Python song reference – from the movie Life of Brian? Enjoyed it immensely so very long ago….

Just out of curiosity, what era do you think you should have been born in/more “comfortable” living in?
Which raises the question – can a clark ever be “comfortable”?

  10. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

    Answer: no

  11. Fabri says:

Just to answer your question: I think I would be more confortable living in the 70’s, early 80’s.. Just living quietly, in a calm and peaceful place, in the fields, something like that.. :) I work with IT, but I’m not a huge fan of all the things technology brought to us, like being 24/7 online, connected and working, consuming information and spending money.. I would really like living in a countryhouse, farmstead, when I retire..

  12. Downspring#1 says:

Interesting. You are so very far from a calm, peaceful place and certainly no where near a field I presume? :P
Don’t know from what angle I should comment. Shall I assume you are of the “younger generation” and you are expressing what you perceive the 70’s and 80’s were like? Or are you on the “older” side and miss when technology wasn’t the only diety in town?
Hm. Guess it doesn’t matter does it? I agree that simplicity is far more exciting than 24/7 sensory overload. One can easily get lost in the streams of information, sound and images if one does not “control” one’s environment. Seems as if achieving balance is more challenging in our technological age. I imagine it is left for us to find a way back to the 70’s or 80’s or whatever decade if just for a brief respite until we are able to retire to that country house. Sounds like a good plan (y)

Having said that, what about the Wakefield Doctrine? I ask myself this very question. How can I use the Doctrine to achieve my goals? Certainly, understanding how scotts and rogers perceive the world is enormously helpful but it is my “reaction” to them wherein lies the challenge. How can clarks such as we are, capitalize on understanding how another perceives the world or their daily environment?
