This is the blog of the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers). Please make yourself at home. Unlike many blogs on the subject of personality types and theories and description and prediction, here there is no one place to start that is best for learning what we are (trying to offer). You will see what was intended to be a Table of Contents, you will even see the ubiquitous “About” page. These were attempts in the early days of this blog to ‘do it right’, early efforts to organise the information that is contained in the Wakefield Doctrine in a common conventional order. Or something. We did try, you will find Pages devoted to the three ‘personality types’ and they do contain useful information. But if you find your attention wandering, do not be discouraged and definitely do not worry that you will not get the basic premise, the core principles, the basics of this thing of ours. (…roger).
Instead of the well-organised, easy to understand, engaging with easy to use involvement exercises, each well written article followed by insightful and witty Reader Comments, that all the other personality theory blogs have, here at the Wakefield Doctrine, we do things a little bit differently. Let’s just say the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers) took ….the road less travelled which (by the looks of it) seems to have been paved, painted with reflective paint on both travel and passing lanes, shoulders wide enough to safely change a tire in with those cell phones on poles that sprang up like weeds along the interstate cause nobody in the Federal Highway design department looked in their pockets and saw a cell phone, and conveniently located rest area, open daily at six, truck to the right, passenger vehicles to the left, no pic-a-nic(-ing)….
…”What we’ve got heah is… failure to ca-mune-a-cate”… What has evolved here is a search for a conversation, a conversation with those of us here at the blog with Readers. The people directly involved in the current form of this blog are all people versed in the Doctrine and if you (the New Reader) were to have the opportunity to ‘hang out’ with any of these folks, you would quickly understand the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers. But much more important than understanding this thing, is getting to know how much fun and how simply useful the Wakefield Doctrine can be! Very fun. Very useful.
Since none of us are professional writers or blog creators we are constantly searching for the right format/correct form of address as a way to engage the new Reader, talking to people who have the curiosity and/or nerve to come up to one of us and ask, “this Wakefield Doctrine thing of yours, what the heck is that all about?”
So, like a blind man trying to paint or a deaf woman singing…we are all over the place. Because as awkward and clumsy and sometimes strained as these Posts and Comments are, the people writing them are pretty amazing… more than that, these DownSprings and Progenitors and Friends of the Doctrine and CY and that Reader from Pennsylvania, and Doug and them all demonstrate the Wakefield Doctrine. They are the proof of the theory, demonstrating the ridiculous flexibility of intelligence that is sort of necessary to get this Doctrine thing. They can take that totally essential step from knowing what is what to knowing that what might actually be something else entirely.
We are glad to have them with us. And if you read all of these Post and Pages (that’s right! I said all of these Posts)… hey, somebody get scotts keys from him before he can bolt for the door. If you read these things you get the core principles that support the Doctrine, you will then see clarks, and scotts and rogers in your world and it will never be the same. It is actually kind of spooky, how true this theory actually is. I don’t know if I should say it, but even being the Progenitor and all, I am learning new aspects and implications and applications of the Wakefield Doctrine, even as we write these Posts! It is now at the point that I have to put in extra effort to keep up with the damn thing, as everyone else gets comfortable with the theory and are pointing out things about it that have not occurred to me! damn.
Anyway. That’s what the Wakefield Doctrine is all about. Fun. Useful. Productive. Glad to you have you along for the trip.

We did say that the Wakefield Doctrine is culture and gender neutral, didn’t we? As the hats (on our damn heads) clearly indicate, we all are clarkscottrogers, just mostly clarks or scotts or rogers.
