‘one TToT Post down, 103 left’ the Wakefield Doctrine ‘it’s not just a bloghop, it’s an adventure!’

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

(no… I seriously have no idea why this image with this post)

(no… I seriously have no idea why this image with this post)

Today is Sunday. This is (another) TToT Post. Still in the same bloghop, same weekend.  (New Readers/Participants! a ‘second’ List on a given weekend is not required/ is entirely optional, it is not a bad thing/ it can be fun, and finally,  you should not feel like you are expected to do 2 lists/totally should try one it can be fun. [If I get away with this one more weekend, I will be forever grateful to….[1] )

Today is Sunday. This is ‘a second Post’ for me. Still the first TToT Weekend of the New Year. (New Readers/Participants! the format of these Lists is left entirely  to you/the most commonly employed format is the numerical list, usually the items are in ascending order/if you’re feeling like throwing convention to the wind, descending won’t get you in trouble and finally, you can get all Louisa May on it and do away with numbering entirely… take a walk on the wild side! [2])

Today is Sunday. This is ‘the third item of what-hopefully-will-be a Ten item list. Still only Sunday Morning. (New Readers/Participants! it does, in fact, say Ten Things as the required number of things/there is a potential for variance, everyone writes lists with 10 things/except those of us how might have reason to have more or less than this eponymous number and finally, you totally have the right to break up a topic over multiple items, learn from a pro, kid [3] )

Today is not Monday. This is ‘not even halfway through a List of Ten things that I will claim to be grateful for. It is still Sunday Morning, but the time is slipping. (New Readers/Participants! it should be obvious to all that I hitched my wagon to a horse that may not finish the race/that would be a mixed metaphor if I had fleshed it out a little more, you might as well see the stressful, why-the-hell-did-I-go-with-the-three-in-one schtick? and finally, even when you do get yourself out on a literary limb, there are tricks/ legal or illegal there is an answer, come on, no guts no glory! [4])

Today is still Sunday. The is halfway through my Second List of Ten Things of Thankful. Time to bring out the big guns. (New Readers/Participants? Don’t tell anyone I told you, but there is a Secret Book of Rules/not available to anyone…at least not officially, the requirement for use is to have the (fill in the gender/demographic/writing-style/personal style/taste appropriate reference to nerve, courage, daring, temerity or balls …here) and the language that implies that you already know what’s in the Book and finally, seeing how I have opened the Book, if you will, I will cite Rule 7.7 (subchapter 5) that states, in part”  ‘if a participant commits  to a tricky list and totally finds (themselves) without the… whatever to finish, provided they3 are at the halfway point (see Rule 3 for def of halfway) then you are permitted to claim an item credit that is the equivalent to 50% of double the number of items written so far’  …thank you, thank you very much [5],[6],[7],[8])

Today is still Sunday. My god! will this list ever end!?! Time to give credit where credit is due. (New Readers/Participants? This group is amazing, not just for the overall willingness of the participants to be helpful and supportive/after all except for the weekends when Rich Rumple and Jak are able to stop in, this is pretty much woman-ville (aka the Benevolent Kingdom of Xchromatopia), ask for advice/ do not hesitate and finally don’t listen to what they say about how scary Christine is or the warnings that if you are seen too much hanging out with Kristi, your writing career is veering off the path. [9])

Today is Sunday. All I need are photos (and maybe a music video) and I can get in the shower and get dressed and ready for the Wakefield Doctrine Sunday Morning Video chats with my co-hosts Lizzi and Michelle  (wait!! no…. I will be hosting with them not getting dressed or in the shower…that’s totally not what I meant).  Hey Readers!!  Yeah you new Participants!!  thanks for coming by, this TToT really is fun… and you want some one to blame for this train wreck of a Post?  Well head over to the Comments section and thank Louise (of ‘babygatesdown‘)  it’s all her fault!  see what she said?   “I sometimes wonder if there is anything Wikipedia doesn’t know….”  no, now that I look at the words I don’t have any idea how I got to here from there, but it’s true…that phrase got me going. somehow.  hey! Louise  everyone really want to thank you  lol  (It’s funny about blame… it grows irresistibly like the crush we all have on our 3rd grade teacher, the one who actually talked to you like you were a person or something and if that wasn’t enough to throw your emotional self into the volcano of puppy love, she laughed at your jokes like she thought they were funny!  (I will always be grateful for that in my 8 year old boyhood) [10])

I’m out!

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Ah brave Clark, mayor of Women-ville, what an inspiring “Ode to Sunday,” my favorite day. Religious or not, we all need a sabbath, a day of rest. I count our tradition of staying in our pajamas all day as saving the earth from extra dirty laundry, and we don’t waste precious clean water by showering, blasphemy!
I think of the Double-Secret Book of TToT Rules as the Marauder’s Map from Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In order to even open it, you have to say, “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good!” Appropriate, no?

    • Pretty much, but you do still have to do the ritual dance (whatever form that may take for you) to get past the Seven GuardVirgins…I don’t think they had those at Hogwarts ;)

      • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

yeah… though they played them in their roles, not a virgin among them…’cept maybe Alan Rickman (and maybe that chick that looks like Helen Bonham Carter… wait a minute! nah)

      Joy!

      well thank you!

that us a heck of Book of Rules, it is, it is

  2. I am thankful for yours, because I am beginning to get gnawings of ‘Monday is coming’ feeling. And I don’t like that.

That was one hell of a dragon slaying, man! Don’t tell me nuthin bout not knowin why you picked that pic~! I was thinking again after we talked… do ya wanna know or should I just leave it? It was about your question about feeling secure or confused by the Doctrine. I think the shower helped me work it out… its the only place with heat in the house so I think my brain may have thawed… My Clark says I don’t wanna bug ya with it… Roger is pawing the ground and running for the herd so he can tell you what to do with some backup… and Scott is just screaming “Shut the eff up, Beotch!” OMG I think you’ve turned me into Sybil!

  4. HELP ME! says:

Roger: Clark you dumbass you were supposed to hit the response box.
Clark: Sorry, can I do it now? I didn’t know I was supposed to ….
Scott: No, you are so stupid…but yknow Clarkie you did it so good the last time… awww shucks go ahead buddy, hit the check mark….

  5. You know what this post reminded me of? Those doublemint commercials for “doublemint gum” and they had those twins on there singing up a storm. Don’t know why this reminded me of this, but, I had to giggle. LOL

  6. Lisa @ The Meaning of Me says:

Today is not Monday and Today is still Sunday are definitely items for a list! That’s exactly how I felt all day today. After a nice long break, one day back at work, and then a three day weekend thanks to snowy weather, this is going to be the most challenging Monday in the history of the world.

I also did a second TToT – my first. :)
