Friend of the Doctrine, Katia wrote the other day and said, rather graciously, “…I’ll start by forwarding a photo with the t-shirt from a completely non-exotic locale, but a pretty typical Canadian one – the cottage. A Muskoka cottage :-) “.
Naturally we said, “from way up north, eh?” Needless to say, I went all wikipedia on ‘oh Canada’, and though I started out looking for the names of famous people, that weren’t Rush or Alex Trebek, when I saw the list of the celebrities, actors and other-type people that did, in fact, hail from Canada… I was like, ‘damn! him too? and her??’ For the sake of brevity, here’s a link: a list of Famous Canadians
We often do profiles of Doctrine shirt wearers and Katia did promise us one, once her schedule clears a bit. Having said that, allow me to mention that we met her on one of the Bloghops that the Doctrine is known to frequent….either TMT Tuesday* or FTSF ** She is the writer of the blog, IamtheMilk. You should go there and read, as not only does she have the insight into human nature that is associated with her personality type, Katia is a ridiculously skilled and talented writer. (I just went to her site to get the link and read her ‘sidebar’. yow! get re-posted much? lol) You can find her on ‘the Facebook’ as well as the other places that the ‘A Category’ bloggers hang out.

Other news!
You know how Michelle offered to give Readers a bit of a Whirlwind Tour of Singapore? Hey Michelle you do remember right?? lol In any event, it’s being rescheduled from this coming Saturday (during the regularly scheduled Wakefield Doctrine Saturday Night Drive) to the following week’s regularly scheduled Wakefield Doctrine Saturday Night Drive. 11/16/13 8pm EST.
Did anyone say, “hey! this blog is great and it’s fun to read but sometimes I get tired and it’s too much work moving my eyes from left to right, you know? What would be really good is if you Doctrine people talked to us, and not one of those crazy videos where there’s that guy driving and his hat is on the dashboard (how the hell is he driving if his hat is on the dashboard?!) Haha…and we’re back in action! ;)
So…I have some post ideas for you: exercises in bring out the desired worldview. Want to be a roger for a day? Do this. Want to be a scott for an hour? Do this.
Lesson one: how to be a scott for a day: share something on Facebook that you think won’t be inflammatory. Wait for the comments to pour in. Wait for the comment that attacks you personally, not the content about which you shared. Take deep breaths, activate your scott (if you’re a roger or a clark) and calmly compose a cogent counterargument. Then, when that person flips out, invite them out of your life. HAHAHAHA.
Based on a true story, that was. It seems the scottian side of myself is like some animal that has been caged too long. I keep having these…more and more frequent encounters with rogers that I feel the need to…um…herd back into line. lol

Just had a run in with a miserable Roger and needed to come here to validate myself… Im afraid I took him out… he may be crying in another room right now…. eek… maybe my rogerian twist is in hibernation as I definitely feel a bit Scottian right now! Well, they DO all appear at some time or another don’t they? Love the Roger, love the ROger….

(if it helps any), there is always a risk for us (clarks) to over-estimate the suffering of a roger… even when expressing our own (secondary) scottian aspects! All that is needed is to observe a predominant scott in full dominance mode with a roger… it seems all, ‘oh that power roger!’ but we have it from actual rogers (not, certain whether it was Phyllis or the Progenitor roger… they tend to all blend together*), that, from the perspective of the roger (in the afore-referenced) dyad, the roger is ‘leading from behind’. So, while it does not mean that they love being beat up and the roger in question is undoubtedly licking his wounds… but their experience may very well not be our (even a clark with an ascendent secondary scottian aspect’ POV… ya know what I mean?)
*hey! we’re talking about rogers here…they take that as a compliment!!

WHOOT! Although I’m a little gutted that Katia seems to have ended up with a DocTee WITHOUT the identifier on the sleeve! Cos I was nosey and wanted to see what she thinks she is (now I’ll have to be old-fashioned nosey (as opposed to sneaky-nosey) and ask her outright)
Many good things come from Canadia. As an Englander, I have a particular soft-spot in my heart for our dear (hugantic, ginormic) outpost ;)
