I love the constants in yout TToT, and am delighted the Unicorn Challenge gets a mention.
But I also like the new things mentioned.
Particularly intrigued, of course, by ‘Secret Rule: 1:3
ahh! (which I suspect you know us well enough to feel a little trepidation (and, to be on the safe side freshen the tea cup) as history indicates when it comes to the Wakefield Doctrine “Sometimes I we believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” the Queen)
so, where to begin?
Secret Rule 1.3 is the rule that asserts: “…(t)he process of writing a list of Ten Things involves a certain [emotional] dynamic, which (sic) informs a more hypo-emotional participant (ibid BoSR/SBoR 2013 pg. 5-3) of the presence of a Grat Item.
Specifically, when one has completed 7 or 8 Items, and the end is in sight, it is valid to cite this anticipation as an Item (on said list) provided that it is included as the last Item. (‘Pullos tuos non numero ante exclusi sunt’ op.cit. “This Doctrine, Are They Serious’ 1934 chap 3)
The abbreviations in our citation: Book of Secret Rules (aka Secret Book of Rules) is available to anyone who participates in the TToT. Coming as no surprise, we’re sure, but there is a Secret Rule for virtually any situation. However, it is incumbent on the person citing a Rule to provide suitable reference in terms of Chapter verse. (And it doesn’t hurt to throw in an ibid. or op. cit.*)
*finally! a use for the much abused designator of footnotes and late nights in college ….ad hoc ya know?
Although chores take more work as a blogger (“Wait! I have to take a photo!”) I appreciate your documentation of the task and allowing us readers to take a yard walk with you.
lol
I’m proud of myself for remembering to take the ‘before’ photos. (Not a clarklike thing to do*)
*in the same sense that my original view of blogging was, before I started the Doctrine: “Who cares what I have for lunch or my thoughts on…”
Guess I reconsidered lol**
** actually the process was way cooler… I became the curator of the Wakefield Doctrine. As serendipitous an event as ever there was one…
Wow! A stumpy post. Who knew?
lol
I can dig it!
Una, Phyllis and the Doctrine? Check, check and check. Also, after all our travels, I’m grateful to be home and with my fur kids reunited. Ahh…there is such bliss in returning home after a trip and being in your own space. Also, the Secret Rule: 1.3 is always worth a grat, too. HAHA.
what’s not to like about the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules)?
My goodness, and wow.
;)
