Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
This is the Wakefield Doctrine’s contribution to the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) bloghop. Each week all are invited to write and share those experiences, encounters, recollections and passing-glimpses of times when the state of gratitude has touched one’s life and such. Being a ‘list format’ the standards kinda allow all sorts of expression.
1) Una
2) Phyllis
3) the Wakefield Doctrine (sine qua non, yo …sine qua non)
4) the virtual world and it’s denizens, imaginary, (including, but not limited to projections-of-one’s-higher-form, manifestation-of-one’s-denials and reg’lar people what own a computer and have an fairly-insatiable curiosity) or shadow-forms of a higher existence
5) the Six Sentence Story bloghop
6) rain (as local precipitations is currently manifesting) as opposed to the more historically-correct frozen water, aka snow, given the time-of-year and latitude and such
7) spring draws near
8) Referential Grat: As I was alpha to Ola, Phyllis was alpha to Bella. It is one of the truly remarkable relationships between two lifeforms.
9) something, something
10) Secret Rule 1.3. From the Book of Secret Rules aka the Secret Book of Rules motto: “guiding and excusing well-intentioned, if not hypo-skilled writers-to-be since 1947 with standards and rules of style that are infinitely adaptable and hilariously vague”.

Dogs and blog friends are some of my favorite people.
Your lists always bring a smile.
pleasure is all mine
At first glance at that top photo, I thought, “Wow! Clark’s not going to be happy about all that snow!” Glad you’ve got the warmer form of precipitation there. We’re still getting snow here, but spring surely is on the way sometime.
that being Bella in the photo puts the winter at least twelve years in the past…
other than the other day when we had 4-6 inches of snow (gone now) it been a near-snowless winter
(as long as one doesn’t dwell on the implications/ramifications of such winters becoming increasingly common) I like it
very nice list – Dogs are definitely my favorite type of person, especially Una (our Canine Clark).
Thank you.
I’ve not watched the Paco, Al, John vid in quite some time. One of my very favorite pieces.
There is nothing more joyful than playing in the snow with one’s dog.
I dare not speak the words out loud so I’ll whisper write…we’ve also been lucky for not getting the normal amount of s..w this winter.
As to #4. Take a moment, rewind the tape. We once had no idea how big the world really was.
yeah fun vid
It’s funny who a dog will consider an alpha. And…I’m grateful for YOU! Another revolution around the sun? Why yes! A world that is so much more interesting and fun with you in it! HB, CF! 🎊🎉
