Ten Things of Thankful (…Gesundheit!) -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

This is blah, blah, ( “…Where the heck did that pile of tree trunks go?!), blah

Inspired by blah, yadda, yadda (But the dog in the following post? Perfect lifeform and constant role model)

Always turn to ‘whatever’

1) Phyllis

2) Una

3) the Wakefield Doctrine

4) serial stories: ‘the Whitechapel Interlude‘ and ‘the Case of the Missing Fig Leaf

5) Six Sentence Story bloghop

6) thanks to Mimi for making a comment, (on our Six Sentence Story this week), that suggested one of the music vids below… we hypo-youthful bloggers will enjoy it.

7) enjoyed watching an old, (old, how can it be old?!! you were an adult when it first came out!!), movie… ‘The Princess Bride’. (clips below)

8) Taking a lesson from Mimi, (who is truly a Grat Master), I offer a hypo-Grat, i.e. less physical stamina for my characteristic pleasure at the prospect of digging many holes in the ground to further the transformation of our property. I make the effort to remember that, despite how quickly the shovel weighs more than it did when I carried it from the shed, I am still carrying it from the shed and not dreaming of this activity from the clutch of some hospital bed

9) Hey! Here’s an idea that may provide mutual benefit, perhaps even enjoyment! We’re currently writing two serial stories right? (Up there at #4) Well this week I got it into my head to  take three of the other writers at the Six Sentence Story and incorporate them into the narrative of the Ian Devereaux serial.) It was fun…for me. lol The question is, would any of you Readers enjoy being a character in the story? Early in the development of the idea, but let us know in the Comments if you think that’d be fun. (In that ‘sketch/caricature artist at the summer carnival’ sorta way)

10) S.R. 1.3 (Which allows us to count the completion of the task of writing a list as an item on said List.)

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Phyllis says:

Our property is becoming more enchanted every day.
I liked the tie to The Princess Bride.

  2. Excellent, and find your inspiration where you can, right?

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

Full Disclosure: I new the reference to Russian literature was in the song, but right at the beginning? bonus!

  3. Pat Brockett says:

It looks like Una just can’t quite believe all those changes on the property. HaHa
#8 Great perspective. “I make the effort to remember that, despite how quickly the shovel weighs more than it did when I carried it from the shed, I am still carrying it from the shed and not dreaming of this activity from the clutch of some hospital bed.”
I suppose I will never tire of watching The Princess Bride. Such a great movie!

Excellent movie. (one of my top 14)

the real fun of clearing some of the woods is the blank canvas effect… we’ve had enough experience to know that it’s a waiting thing (to an extent) let the new features and elements express and manifest, rather than rushing in

  4. That is some major clearing. Wonder if it messed up the wildlife any – “yo, Bob, take a right at the 3rd pine and sharp left before you get to the shed…”
Can’t speak for Ford or Chris, but I had a blast, lol.
    #8 Carry on. Carry on.

Interesting effect. All positive. They (the fauna) still have places to hide and we have direct sunlight for more than sixty minutes a day.
