TToTree (Part two) -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

This is the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) bloghop.

Dyanne is the host.

Mimi and Lisa and Pat are co-hosts

Lizzi is the progenitorinae.

This week’s Ten Gratigenic People, Places and Things include:

1) Una

2) Phyllis

3) the Wakefield Doctrine

4) Serial Story-writing, ‘the Whitechapel Interlude‘ and ‘the Case of the Missing Fig Leaf

5) the Six Sentence Story bloghop

6) I am grateful, (well, this is a grat blophop), for Una’s taste in music, specifically the music that relieves her anxiety during thunderstorms. Seriously, there’s a couple of fairly-metal cover songs that she prefers. Even more interesting, it’s not necessary to play the music at a volume to drown-out the thunderstorm… she lays on the bed, I play two or three songs (repeatedly) and she falls asleep. Sample, (in case you want to try it out on your own canine or significant other), is provided below as the second music vid.

7) Phyllis is followed out of the woods by a mimic* and, given her predisposition towards charity to others, apparently, (in the photo below), is considering bringing it into the house.

8) The effects of the tree cutting is fun because it manifests variably. One time, you look and it gives a certain sense of surrounding space, another and it’s the existing structures that change. cool

9) something, something

10) Secret Rule 1.3

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. We’re blessed that Coda isn’t afraid of storms. She was hand raised from 4 weeks old, and Little Girl never made a big deal out of storms, so Coda doesn’t make a big deal out of them.

Now Lulu, she tries to hide under Grandma, which is most funny to watch, but probably not funny for the participants. It is unfortunate that i don’t see Grandma trying heavy metal music any time soon.

All of our dogs have objected to thunderstorms; Ola was the most proactive, in that, if I were not at home (I was the alpha) Ola would herd Phyllis down to the basement. For safety purposes. (One time. she convinced Phyllis to get in the car that was in the garage…lol) Bella, on the other hand, while not liking thunder would find Phyllis and wait for her to make it stop (Phyllis was alpha for Bella, so I was left to my own devices).

  2. Phyllis says:

I like the effect of the tree project. Thank you.

  3. That does look like a mimic Phyllis is standing beside, lol Agreed. Edge of Tomorrow was an enjoyable movie and most excellent aliens, mimics.
The clearing! Looks like many trees have been felled. No doubt there is a different sense of your environs without those massive towers.

  4. Pat Brockett says:

You two are making a lot of progress on your property. Lots of hard work.
I am thinking that Una not needing the Heavy Metal music to be loud in order to alleviate her fears is a good thing if the storms are at night and people are trying to sleep. How did you learn about the magic power of heavy metal music calming dogs with thunderstorm anxiety? It makes me wonder if certain breeds have certain music preferences. HaHa
