Friday -the Wakefield Doctrine- ‘As old is new, so past is future’

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Since few will be waxing nostalgic for the previous year, it’s an easy bet that, at least for today, traditional resolutions will, by and large be down to earth, i.e. ‘Don’t succumb to pandemic’, ‘Continue to appreciate what one has’ and ‘Carpe the day’

In the interest of perspective, let’s survey past New Year’s posts. Of course, by ‘survey’, we mean, copying their respective titles into a list. Surely nothing that strikes more to the heart of a blog post than its title.

And, in case we have any New Readers (this is, after all, New Year’s Day) we will grapple directly with a common challenge: “You claim this personality theory is a tool for self-improving oneself? Prove it!”

Two words: each of the twelve citations below are linked to their original, unabashed edition*. What clark out there (or roger or scott… well, what roger) is ever inclined to say, “Sure lets get out my old efforts-at-fiction/high-school-yearbook/baby-pictures/break-up-letters and read ’em aloud to the group?”

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one
