Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
Thanks to Kristi for hosting this jamboree each weekend and thanks to Lizzi for inventing it in the first place.
1) Una (for being a role model)
2) Phyllis (for being a power of example)
3) work is Number three this week. For a variety of reasons, I find myself having to learn basic on-the-phone-that-you-took-the-video-with editing. For work. Readers are well aware of my comfort with simple, single-take films of me and Una on a Friday walk or me and me driving around talking about the Wakefield Doctrine. This latest project involves joining more than one clip in an entertaining and effective manner. Stand by*.
4) the Hobbomock Chronicles. Episode Four. Standby**. Will be live this afternoon, three o’clock at the latest Live: Episode Four
5) * video (from Item Three)
6) the Wakefield Doctrine
7) Old Aquaintae!! (not, old-old, just in the sense of time passed since last encountered… ok, old). Zoe and Josie (and, by commentation, our host Kristi)… over at the Facebook. all three on one post… Hey! Z. J. (being a clark, I’ll need to hear from Josie before I post the link to the post… we (clarks) are like that.
8) THIS SPACE AVAILABLE
9) **Writing a serial. This is a separate item from Number 4 as it relates to the process rather than the product. And the emotional roller coaster of writing in general and serials in particular. Example: “Alright, you can walk into a movie theatre in Amsterdam….” oops. sorry, channeling Pulp Fiction again. Today I was finishing Episode Four of the Hobbomock Chronicles and, I thought, ok lets get back to 1665 and see what progress has been made getting our shipwreck survivor to the summer camp (of the Narragansetts who found her washed up on the coastal Rhode Island shore) and I thought, ‘Would they have used donkeys or horses?’ typey-type-type… ?%^&%$!!! No horses back then!! Ayiee!. Went back and scanned the extant Episodes and could not find an explicit mention of horses. Feee ewww. bullet-dodged.
10) Secret Rule 1.3. from the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules). Introductory Preface [‘…like where would we be [b]e if we didn’t have secret rules of our own?!’ op.cit. ibid. y.m.c.a. edition(s) all rights defended 2009-2020
* surely this little item can be spun off for more than one Grat Item!

I thought Una was going to look for a shadow 🐶 Enjoyed Una’s video.
that’s a thought… but no, no shadow spotted
Good job with the video! Editing a video with the phone is not something I have attempted, but I imagine it isn’t easy.
That first photo pretty much sums up how I feel some days, except I have the feeling that the man on the chairs voluntarily got up there! Yikes! :-)
#7–wasn’t it great to see Zoe?
yeah! I saw the photo and thought, ‘Hey! that person looks familiar!’ and then, ‘Its zoe!’ She looks way younger than I remember from our Lizzi New Jersy Vacation Adventure.
I also enjoyed Una’s Sunday morning video.
time-consuming but fun.
Proud of you, my friend. The Una vid, complete with sound effects. 😂 If you’re not careful, you’ll get addicted. Take it from me. I know. 😂😂 Phyllis get a new car? Pretty awesome.
Thankee, Miz Leaf Yeah, I can see how I could get drawn in, but I wanted to acquire basic skills to produce vids with titles and such, have a few more hours of study/practice to go.
New(er) car… she likes the CR-V
You have done it again Clark! Editing a video you took on a phone? What does that even entail, she wonders. But for now, I’ll probably wait a while before investigating. However, great video!
Good save on the dodged bullet! All that investigative works pays off again.
Don’t tell anyone, but the thing about doing the editing on the phone was to eliminate a level of skill, i.e. getting a video off the camera and into the computer (for editing) and then back out to wherever I would send it.
The app is InShot… free and premium versions available in the App Store on pretty much all phones and, of course, theres youtube, where I found video tutorials.
Yeah, way glad I didn’t have the Narragansetts riding around on horses in every other scene.
Trying to catch up to everyone, right now i am thankful that my friends know my schedule and let me get to them as soon as i can!
Plus, what kind of virtual world would this be, if’n we had act the same, impatient way we sometimes do in the ‘real’ world.
