TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine- ‘as expressed in replies, who said rhetorical Rorshach? was that you, zoe? lol’

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

(not-old Readers? Bob Newhart. he invented the form that I’m working for a recognizable imitation of with this post. check the bottom, I’ll put a link of the Master at work.)

1) “why no, not yet, but they say the nineties for the coming week, come on summertime.”

2) “yeah, you would think, with as long and thick a coat as she has, but she enjoys sitting and guarding the yard.”

3) “well, hell, she manages to enjoy nearly everything, one of the more gifted (in terms of seeing things from a positive perspective) people I know.”

4) “it’s going along, staying busy which is good always interesting”

5)  “I’d say it was the problem-solving, of course, another side of that is the part I enjoy the least!

6) “…pretty good, pretty good, we’re at Chapter 16 this week and, without giving anything away, our main characters are beginning to see, or maybe just sense, what it is that’s standing between them and a life they believe they should live.”

7) “they’re pretty remarkable bunch, imagine the discipline! every morning a photo!  what? well, no, it varies, but the thing about the Challenge is, it gets inside your head”

8) “pretty much the Book of Secret Rules aka the Secret Book of Rules, the community is so supportive and the goal, (of ten things). is so positive, you don’t need a BoSR/SBoR…. but tell me it ain’t fun!”

9)  “yeah, she’s amazing… my second favorite story about her? that she started this whole now-gigantically-beneficial ‘hop, writing a list on her own, and I do mean on her own…as in ‘2 comments showing up every other Post’ alone, as in bad grammar, tear-steeped determination to see it through alone….cool, very cool”

10) “well, you know!”

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

Comments

  1. FRIST!…yeah, I know, I am here early….sure, I do sometimes…ok, I will, sure….you as well.

  2. Cynthia says:

You’re seriously plugging along with the second book! You’re rocking it! I’m working on the second one, too. John’s editing the first.
BUT perhaps I’ll get a chance to do a blog post. Have been wanting to but have been devoting five hours a day to my new project…
But well, I’m thankful for YOU!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

yeah, time is so adverbial at times (lol!! not that anyone doubted it, but spellchek is a total roger…. look at that rogerian expression there (instead of adversarial)

  3. ivywalker says:

I love Bob! Im actually having trouble figuring two of those questions…

  4. Lizzi says:

First favourite is the guard-scott story? ;)

I’m glad things are going well, and…I guess interesting is good (or otherwise an ancient curse).

    The problem-solving lost me ;)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      exactly!
      there is that
problem solving (at work) is quite satisfying, my clarklike tendency to not be able to separate myself from what I’m doing (for work) causes the most stress.

      • Lizzi says:

Ahhhh I think for me it depends on the problem.

I had an interesting epiphany about cycling through areas of park which EVERYONE cycles through, which nonetheless have a ‘no cycling’ sign – rogers just don’t; scotts carry on and don’t care; clarks do it but worry about being caught, every single time, and run scenarios of how to deal with being told off…every single time.

        • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

          perfect… exactly true.

(now… grasshopper* the question of most value (to people like you, people like me) is not do they feel any differently about their ride through the park? The most useful thing (for me these days with the Theory of the Three Strings so dominant) is ‘can I feel the assurance and (implied) belonging of the roger as I ride and, can I relax and let go of my thoughts of others to veer crazily up and down the path, angering some pedestrians and amusing others as does the scott?)

what an excellent comment, btw… on this quiet Sunday afternoon

          * if you listen, you can hear Denise yelling, from the distance…. “Lizzi!! run…now! he’s going into advanced Doctrinology while if might be true, it’ll make your brain hurt, your heart swell and your mind despair’

          • Lizzi says:

Except actually that’s BRILLIANT…but not for the reasons you think (though I admit it crossed my mind to just be scottian about it and NOT bother with the same worry every time I break the rules (damn! there’s some roger in me after all)) but because Denise MENTIONED “three strings” somewhere just after spaghetti, in one of her recent posts, and it TOTALLY LOST ME!

NOW I know what they were… *enormous penny bounced off skull*

          • LOL. Yes, Clark. I would be yelling to Lizzi but only because I know she is looking for “answers” and any tool that will assist in obtaining them, well, as they say….bring it!

            I agree Lizzi. Excellent comment.

    • christine says:

Guard-scotts are the best guards. ;)

  5. herheadache says:

    Chapter 16 already. Wow. Yay.
    :-)
Seeing or at least sensing is good. Looking forward to reading about that.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

yeah… in Chapter 16, Dorothy’s Challenge begins to take a form that even she can’t deny. As for Almira, well, her circumstance in life is her challenge

  6. christine says:

Well, dang, I went and deleted my comment when I went back up and decided to comment on Lizzi’s.

Bob rocks. We’ll leave it at that.

Oh, and I like the jeopardy-like ttot list. I’m always up for a challenge. :) I think I got them all.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

Amazing, not just the dead-pan, but the way he would make the listener see the whole thing

  7. Kristi says:

And the upcoming TToT will include a “Solution to Previous Week’s Puzzle”? Nicely done list!
