Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
As part of our weekly exercise of gratitudosity, I’m going with a semi-photo Post (as permitted by SR. 73.{34} of the Book of Secret Rules, aka the Secret Book of Rules)
1)vidchats of which I am currently engaged in participating with the severally and groupistically renowed: Lizzi and Val, zoe and Kristi and Joy and Sarah**
2) The Graviteers, on and all, who seeing November looming on the Calendar (November motto: ‘food is good, too much food, well! now you’re talkin!’) they are, pardon the expression, making mincemeat of November, their numbers are tribute to that.
3)
4)that is a soon-to-be-zombie flounder on the dock in front of the ‘sea gull’
5)Six Sentence Stories on Thursday a very satisfying exercise (not that it’s, like, work or any…well, it is kinda like work but it’s fun!)
6)
8)Una and Phyllis for grounding the world
9)Blogdominion! (There’s a new Sheriff Detective in Town… and she ain’t take no…. (fill in preferred euphemism for satisfactorily executed duties of law enforcement officials.) You should go an read this story... it keeps getting better!
10) SR. 1.3
*yeah, that was a long way to go for a joke..
**last night that was true… now, it is not true

Really frist???? Wtf???? Have i told you how much i love your walks with una??? “You want a piece o dis, cow???”
FRIST!
lol
gratitudosity, Love that word
And you killed me with Soon to be zombie flounder. Not exactly the most coordinated swimmer out there and as a zombie. He might do more damage trying to swim.
Our boys never could figure out just what the cows were.
Lovely pictures and of course excellent Friday Night Walk vid :)
Love the pictures of the water, but I don’t see a flounder at all. Are you fixated on zombies – flounder, cows? Is it possible that that is the deep dark secret in Maribeth’s past??? I still wonder at you driving and shooting video as you do so.
lol no! it’s the sea gull that’s the zombie (you shoulda seen it staring it me)…. but, since it’s bitten the flounder, as morning follows night… zombie of the sea!
Hey! Let me know when you are having the vidchats again!
look like next Friday…will send you a direct message (or have it in the Doctrine) as to the time
Oh how I love that tree house that Phyllis built! And your photo of the water…Why do I live in Indiana again?
because the corn is as high as the… er sorry, wrong musical! anytime you find yourself in New England (on one of your most excellent ‘hey! kids… grab a change of clothes! we’re outta here!’ vacations… you are all totally welcome here)
Having people in our lives who ground us is so, so important!! Can’t think any more, my brain is shutting down, as are my eyes!
I believe I know what you mean, but getting Chapter 6 of Blogdominion out today was exceptionally trying and I’m also nodding off…
I am quite far behind on your serial and hope to catch up over Thanksgiving break. I am very sad to have missed the vidchat on Friday, but was on a sans Kidzilla date with the Hub, so…next time. But definitely next time! Are we doing it this week? Or no because of holiday?
I’m pretty happy with November for the graviteering – not that my numbers were up this last week, but I believe they will be back down again and I’ll end the month in a great place. Are we on to December?
Friday night walks are lovely…
yes we are surely going to do a vidchat on the day after St Roger’s will be in touch about times (probably the same 6:30)
PLEASE can we have Vidchat again Friday? My people who ground me are scattered and if I can at least be in SOME way a bit closer, even over the wires, that helps.
SO glad you’ve brought it back.
***good timelining. I never know what to do with that, so I past-tensify it.
yeah… I’m totally with you on that… (I know, what a surprise!) hey, what you said about your writings, in the before time…. I do want to have that as (one of the topics of the next vidchat*) you mentioned not having enough dialogue, well, the fact is I have dialogue but not enough effective description…. you seeing a certain synergy in that symmetry? be thinking about that
yeah it’s gonna be interesting!
* ok… I’m the stuffy one of this virtual couple you’re the fun one, division of labor yo… all play and no work makes clark have a terrible ‘finish the next Blogdominion’ weekend, but all work and no play make the virtual friends say, ‘hey! did you hear a virtual car outside? my ride’s here…later yo’
I think Thanksgiving’s gonna do that last number without any help from too much work…
YES to the chat. Dialogue *sigh* I CAN do it, it’s just not the ‘feel’ I was going for with what I was writing, but perhaps I need to not be an idiot and just get BACK to it at some point when life lets up a bit more.
purely selfishness on my part (that second matter, of hearing about what you’ve encountered and over-come in the process of doing whatever you would do with the writing and the words and such)… but balance is inherently a potential in all situations and circumstances in this here life thing, here…. all it seems to take is a willingness to not hold on to any one thing too much/for too long
or something like that!
hell everything’s a potential metaphor for everything else, innit?
Balance. Something I seem to have always lacked…
thank you! I was trying to think of a topic …(as pure Doctrine Posts have been increasingly rare) there it is! balance (as manifested) in the worldview of the Outsider
(I get a feeling that it’s not that we don’t have or are not capable up…but we are always moving (off) the point of equilibrium)
…to be cont’d
I love your Friday night walks. I love seeing Una with her head out the window. And I love that cow that gave you the stink eye as you drove by.
yeah, it did! didn’t it!
Good job with the photos! I barely got one photo in my post this week, but I do enjoy photo posts.
I am not in love with the camera in my phone, but the convenience makes up for it’s lack of controls (as a camera) but then again, I’m liking the ‘hey!-look-at-what-I-saw-today’ capability rather than any real camera might offer…
Sorry I missed out on number 1 from Friday. Had a headache, not conducive to figuring out the technology I love…did I say love, because I meant to say loath.
:-)
I have the App and now just need to figure out how to connect with all of you.
Have a great week and hope to speak to everyone next time. Is this Friday night happening or is it a break for Thanksgiving?
we’re looking to have another vidchat this Friday (6:30 pm EST)
Connecting with the chat is sometimes a challenge. One of the simplest ways is by sending the link (or, as I usually do) making it available on ‘the Facebook’ (are you on the Facebook? if you want, send me your facebook link mine is https://www.facebook.com/clark.scottroger.1
(more to follow)
Oops. Probably would help if I read the comments before asking questions already asked before me.
:-)
I love that coast photo! Your mention of mincemeat reminds me of childhood Thanksgivings when I Mom always made a mincemeat pie, but she was the only one who seemed to like it very much. I haven’t continued the tradition, because I think I would be the only one who would eat it. I’m enjoying reading the chapters of your book!
(as a child) there were certain holiday foods that I approved of the concept of, without necessarily being committed enough to actually eat them…. mince pie being one, walnuts being another (just wanted to play with the specialty utensils and eggnog… all sounded like good food ideas, but my palate at that age was rather limited.
thanks for reading the Chapters, it’s been an adventure! stay tuned!
