Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine ( the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers )
There will come a time, in the not too distant future, when people you know, will come up and say, “hey! I just heard about this Doctrine thing, and it’s supposed to be about personality types, but they have these hats and this guy travels around the world and takes these really strange videos and talks about rogers and clarks and scotts! Those are the names they have for 3 personality types…yeah…I know….but it’s true! they have pictures and charts and stuff and when I looked around at people here at school or at my job, there they were! Anyway, they said this Doctrine will help me change anything about myself that I want…and it’s true….”
…and that will be very cool, but you are here now and you are watching this thing of ours, and I am including you in the use of the word ‘ours’. With a Wakefield Doctrine hat (on your damn head) and a little patience you will be a part of the growth of the Doctrine. Of course, writing a Comment wouldn’t hurt either!
As we all know, to be a ‘personality theory/self-improvement tool’ ya gotta provide proof that it works! Alright, then take a look at these here videos here:*
Then on to the other Crossroads:**
…Tell me quick where I can get rid of these things!
* look at the geocoding of the location…damn Highway 61
** look up the legend of Robert Johnson and the Crossroads
What would you do if you found yourself consistently relating in a non-dominate personality towards a certain person?
assume that you are a clark lol
You mean that this is typical?
of clarks? well duh!
Fine! Laugh at me.
I was asking a serious question. So do you just realize these things and decide to be a clark? Or is there a solution?
I am finding herds of two don’t work, especially when the other person has no clue they are part of a herd. :/
This Doctrine thing is many things to many people (actually many things to 3 different types of people).
But it is for you, not for them.
The Wakefield Doctrine will never provide an answer for ‘the other person’, at least not unless they are willing to believe the premise.
The Doctrine is only for you. The person who, one way or another, came across this odd website and did not keep on surfing.
The principles underlying the Wakefield Doctrine actually predicted that a small percentage of people who were exposed to this thing would find it: interesting/facinating/something that they felt was worth their time. A very small percentage. (And the Doctrine also told us that the first people to ‘catch on’ would be clarks.)
That does not mean you are a clark.
It just means that there is something here that you like or are drawn to or are bothered by…enough that you have stuck around and have expended some effort here.
We are glad you find this thing interesting, Molly.
Anyone here (Progenitors or DownSprings or FOTD) will be happy to offer their view on how to make sense of things using the tool that the Doctrine is…just ask.
But…we are all novices at the “recruiting the world to a new self-development theory’…so if some of the answers are not as clear as you would like…then you need to ask the question in a different way.
Keep trying.
Call us tomorrow.
Make it all up.
Most of all, have fun with it… go out and watch people.
Read all the old Posts. See if you don’t then see the clarks and hear the scotts and be affected by the rogers!
.
I’m talking, I’m reading, and I have it on my calendar to call tomorrow evening. I even have several occasions for people watching in the very near future.
I realize that this is for the reader, not the people they encounter… And I am sorry if my questions are not coming across clearly.
nah, you’re doin’ just fine.
you are part of the “hey! you got any idea how the hell we do this next?” team.
lol
Well…being the local roger, I suppose some arcane Mississippi history would be in order. Further back than the blues.
In 1862, the 21st Mississippi Volunteers mustered in with 684 men. At Appomattox, they surrendered with 44 left.
The Federals confiscated all the battle flags, and treated them very badly. They were never returned until 1905 under Teddy Roosevelt.
All except the 21st. A color guard corporal managed to convince the Federals that their flag was already lost, and somehow had it in his shirt the whole time. He got it home to a small town near Vicksburg, where it was ultimately displayed under glass at the local library. It is there to this day…the only Confederate flag that was never surrendered.
All I have to say is…..remember what is said about scotts Miss Molly! Have your vocal chords tuned up and your rolled newspaper handy! LOL
Hey Molly! Don’t worry. We scotts will go easy on you (initially). Besides, busting balls means we like you. Talk to you tonight….
