on a more serious note

I admire what you have done here. I like the part where you say you are doing this to give back but I would assume by all the comments that this is working for you as well.

Just wanted to share the above Comment that showed up in my spam blocker. It was created by a roger. It is obviously not true because we do not get that many Comments. The number of Comments is not the point, the point the  rogerian capacity for false sincerity. Now, before you can get all, ” hey wait! maybe they meant well, at least they were making an effort…and besides the term ‘false sincerity’ is a damn oxy-maroon”. I will say, ‘stop talking’, the point here is understanding the nature of rogers. Because the point of this whole Wakefield Doctrine is that by understanding all three, we understand ourselves. After all, we  (clarks and scotts) have the rogerian potential within ourselves, we just got lucky.

I expect everyone here to recognise the clark, the scott (2) and the roger in this little scene. (scotts are just too damn easy to spot.) But today is about rogers, so ignore the little man in the corner of the room.

The thing about the rogerian propensity for flattery and fawning is that it is used (by the roger) pretty much as a tool. A method of  enhancing their enjoyment of life.  It is not a “quality” of their personality, it is the way they choose to interact with the other two. When (a roger is) interacting with scotts, this “projectile self-centeredness” is a way of making themselves (even more) available and when relating to clarks it is a way of decreasing their own discomfort by increasing the discomfort of another. The thing with rogers, the way they tend to see it is, “I feel bad, but if I can make you feel worse, then I will not feel quite as bad”. And, given that they are of the herd mentality, it is always, (did I say totally, without exception, every single goddamn time), always about comparing their own state of existence to others around them.

Fuckin rogers

…alright hate to end on such an up-beat note but I do have to work…

The Wakefield Doctrine lesson for the Day? If you are a clark and you are around rogers…fuckin pay attention. It is not as comfortable and supportive as it sounds. And unlike what happens with scotts (if you get caught by surprise by a scott, it is so your own damn fault that you gots to laugh). But with rogers, it is almost irristibly tempting to think that you do not have to be on your guard.

Be on your guard.

Tommorow! New Feature!!! “Pfuck you Pfriday”!  (oh boy)

(holy shit! Grape Nuts!!! I did not notice it on the first run through…damn)

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

oxy-maroon?? Sounds like a rogerian phrase. Or just a typo for oxy-moron? Moron being the operative word. Etymology from the Greek “sharp-dull”. Dull also being the operative word. Sorry roger(s).

  2. Glenn Miller says:

Manchester! Cheerio, mates. Nice to have some soccer hooligans in the house. Manchurians. Anyway, you could not pick a more perfect representation of rogerness than Andy Griffith. All that earnestness–yet still a sly air of superiority. “We both know I’m a better fella ‘n you are, now don’t we?” Said with the most gracious smile. Charming one into buying the premise. Rogers is tricky. They LOOK all friendly and folksy–but you leave the interaction…decreased in some way. And you’re not sure how it happened. Watch out! Such dedicated herd animals fear individuality–and react against it whenever they encounter it. They react against it subtly, slyly—their intentions concealed behind the most friendly and helpful facade. They’re not trying to negate your individuality, they’re just trying to HELP you. Really?

AKH…”oxy-maroon” from the B Bunny interpretation, to wit: ” what a maroon” (Will try to get a clip up of the cartoon where we makes this statement).
btw props on the quick return on your entry for “Phuck you Pfriday”, your pack has not submitted an entry, probably because he has never been aware of experiencing disappointment in his quote life unquote.

  4. Downspring#1 says:

I concur with Mr. Miller on his statement that rogers “fear individuality”. In retrospect this morning (thanks to Mr. Miller) I see this so very clearly and can point to some specifics in my own life to support it (statement).

  5. AKH says:

Just found a few clips on youtube but I don’t know how to send them to you.

  6. AKH says:

When you mentioned B Bunny I had no idea what you were talking about. So, bodda-boom bodda-bang. The world at our fingertips!

DS1—Now you are calling me Mr. Miller. You used to call me baby. Did I make you mad? Somethin’ I might have said? Please lets forget the past. The future looks bright ahead..DS1 I feel bereft and alone now. Can’t we go back to calling me something sexy and cute? It makes me feel so…pretty. Don’t be cruel.
