Merry Whatever!
It is nothing short of breath-taking, the ground we have covered here at the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers) in the very, terribly short time since we started this blog thing. Many Posts, many Comments and a great deal learned; about the world of blogs and the place (in it) for the Wakefield Doctrine. To each, according to personality type (clark or scott or roger), this experience has been much, much more than any of us had anticipated. For this we are collectively and cohabitatively grateful. And so this Post is about recognising and expressing our appreciation for what we have found here in the blogosphere, strange place that it is.
The People are it. The reason for starting and the reason for continuing is/are the people involved. So, please permit me the honor of givin my peeps and (peep-ettes) a totally Wakefieldian shout-out:
The Progenitors and Downsprings: Hey, what can I say? What they are is what this is. This is the group that formed the backup to our effort to take the theory of clarks, scott and rogers to the werld. (And I mean ‘backup’ in the most complete sense of the word, once started having them all there meant we could not run out the back door when things got a little dicey.) Thanks, guys…
…not that we are into categories/made-up titles (no?!) but when talking about the Progenitors and Downsprings, we want to thank AKH for her work, her contribution to the Doctrine. Metaphorically stand up, AKH, let the people see you. (OK, scott enough whistling/dog howl sounds). Your help A, especially on the ‘Interview’ series has been v appreciated.
To the Friends of the Doctrine: Thanks for your interest and support for these past months. Mel at the Spatula, Jason at the Project, ‘Ronin at the Life and Times , Oscar at Meaning to.. and Delilah at Old New York City SL. You have been more help than you know, not just the moral support but technical and other blogation related skills. Thanks guys.
(Speaking of Delilah) our SL contingent is in da house! Jen, the first I met inworld who did not run away…and (now) leading authority on rogers in SL, Kino who has the patience of Job whose opinion I hold in the highest regard and Delilah the creator of the rather nicely done ‘Old New York City sim. Thank you all very much for your help and support. (Hi Jazz…)

Apologies to any whose (translated) Greeting comes out as “I hope the dog eats all your fish..” or something. It’s the damn internet, I want to click once and get an accurate translation into any language in the world. What’s un-reasonable about that?
Must always include a lesson in the Doctrine…today it will be a quick one: idiomatic Doctrine adjectives: ‘clarks are from space, scotts are from mars and rogers are from hell’
Music, yes there must be some kind of appropriate music:
…Goodnight slovenians,,, thanks for adding something to the Doctrine that is good and valuable and unexpected..
I have to say this was quite a nice article – enjoyed that you acknowledge the time of year – “good will”, etc. And may everyone have a wonderful 2010.
