TToT Snowless Saturday the Wakefield Doctrine “I’m just going to walk the Earth… meet people, get into adventures”*

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Mira - Omicron Ceti - Pulsating Variable Star

Time has, this morning,  re-asserted it’s ability to shape my days. The little time I have at this moment, spent giving shape to this TToT post, in the mid-stretch of this Saturday, I might try to lend grace and humor to what you read and, (still later), the I might have the opportunity to acknowledge that this Post, this TToT, is not just word-shaped electrons,  speeding on their way to distant stars (so that a lonely blogger from Omicron Ceti might learn to speak our language).

(damn! if that doesn’t get my head in the right place!)  lol

1) the intercourse of friends, mostly virtual, that has developed since starting writing the Wakefield Doctrine blog.

2) the non-winter weather lurking (like a mugger in the park, 6’3″ 275 with a flower print dress on) outside my window this morning

3) that I have too much work at work (in a conversational shard on last night’s Friday Night vid chat, Denise was mentioning how extremely busy they were at her office, so much so that people might be quitting and I said, ‘excellent opportunity, that’

4) Christine’s Rule  (I suspect this will eventually be discovered as a whole Chapter in the Book of Secret Rules (aka Secret Book of Rules), that a List may be as hypo-imagistic** as deemed necessary by the writer, provided it (the List items) are a reflection of the Writers’ actual real world… cool-sounding or not

5) canines, in general, Una, specifically ( we went for a walk as we do on Fridays when I get home from work).

6) technology… in this weeks example, as it relates to the Item 5, as evidenced in the video provided here:  “FILE NOT FOUND”  (damn!…will be back)

7) perspective (this is one of those rhorshach items, so open to interpretation and understanding of it’s meaning, I have it here at Number 7 to give me an easy jump-off point, at some point in the day today, as I hope to have the opportunity to get back here and add/modify this here Post here)

8) the TToT and the people I have come to know (and benefit from the knowing) and the effect that this ‘non-real’ world has on my ‘real’ world… I mean, damn! I know people who have lived through giant tornadoes, who train puppies as service dogs, who speak English with extra ‘u’s, who raise pigs (professionally), live where it’s hotter, work in publishing… the list is nearly endless. no frickin way that I would encounter even half of these people in the ‘real’ world. cool

9) the Wakefield Doctrine (did you think I would forget that? lol)

10) SBoR 1.3!

I’ll be back later in the day, so if any of the above was timeless and perfect, better let me know in a Comment, as I might try to get back and do some re-writing.

* Pulp Fiction (slight paraphrase)

** not a ‘real’ word

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Yay to it finally being the first snowless Saturday in forever (at least it feels like it). Seriously a high of 66 degrees here and sun today, it definitely feels like we are heading in the right direction! Have wonderful Saturday and weekend now, too!! :)

  2. jny_jeanpretty says:

Awesome! Perspective…proving once again there are no coincidences!!! xox jean

  3. Joy Christi says:

I love the mental image of your pretty, TALL, cash-strapped mugger. I would give anyone in floral dress cash if they asked, just for making the effort for fashion! That’s more effort than I usually give.
I love this hop, this way of looking at life and turning a crapening into a happening but looking at the bright side of life (cue the Monty Python song) instead of focusing on the challenging part. I find myself doing that as soon as something challenging happens, and they happen pretty often in a house with a teenager. It could be worse, it could ALWAYS be worse!
I’m eternally thankful for that, for all of “U” (you,) and for people who speak English with extra ‘u’s!

    • lrconsiderer says:

Ahhh Joy. Knowing you makes me happy :) I could respond more comment-for-comment-ish, I guess, but that’s the prevalent feeling and I’m going with it.

  4. Tricia says:

Non winter weather. It’s gonna be on every list till it comes back! :) love it!

  5. zoe says:

“…this TToT, is not just word-shaped electrons, speeding on their way to distant stars (so that a lonely blogger from Omicron Ceti might learn to speak our language).” Only one of the poetic moments in this here post here…. well done! I too love the image of a fashion conscious mugger. I may not even mace him/her….no, I probably will. BUT no tazer, definitely no tazer !

  6. jny_jeanpretty says:

it is all poetry here, from “finish the sente”…

  7. lrconsiderer says:

Oh frabjous day, calloo, callay, for thou hast slain the Winterwock, my son! Thy vorpal spring went snicker snack and flipped that Winterwock right back, and so, with sun, we SING!

It was an azure-blue-and-sparkling-white-clouds day today. A sun-dappled with a cold breeze day. A weeding the garden, dirt under the fingernails, dying the hair and experimenting with social media kind of day.

    It was gorgeous.

And I love that Christine’s rule has somehow been assimilated into this. I should ask the GuardVirgins to explain how that happened.

    • Kristi says:

I am almost tempted to hit the translate button for that first paragraph of your response, Lizzi, but I think I’m becoming fluent in your poetry. LOVE IT!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Lizzi…

      …you could, but

…no, I don’t think Christine is Morpheus, but… those GuardVirgins would be all around to watch when you try to get (one) of them to explain.

lol…. did I mention that this is blog anarchy week(end)?

  8. Kristi says:

I, too, enjoy the shrinking-of-the-world effect that blogging has. The weather in other parts of the world suddenly matters more, because the people who might be impacted are real to me. Likewise, I’m awed by the strength of individuals as they tackle their own challenges head-on, and inspired to be a better person as I see the goodness in their lives. AND, I realize that EVERYONE, blogger or not, has an incredibly interesting story to tell.

  9. Jen says:

Ah yes, the weather here in NJ is beautiful today, and canines – YES. That is an opinion we have in common – perfect life forms. Enjoy your week. I always look forward to reading your smart, quirky list on Saturday.

  10. Sarah says:

I tell you what, Clark, I thought you were making an oblique Job reference with your title, but it’s Pulp Fiction? As in Pulp Fiction, and not pulp fiction? It’s been ages since I watched that movie.
You know, The Dude loves to click on commenter or cohost links to read more about these people with whom I interact, and we were just talking about what an amazing array of people with whom I interact. That is what I love, above all, about this blogging business. That I have become friends with people that I would never have met in regularolddaytoday life.
BTW, I think I am meeting your sister tomorrow!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Sarah

totally Pulp Fiction (I have seen the movie so many times that I not only know lines, but I remember the scenes they occur in…lol)
the intersection of unlikely people is probably the coolest thing about the blogosphere, I like it a lot.
yeah, I hear VL meets RL cool

  11. Sandy Ramsey says:

I was going to attempt to write this backwards but I just don’t have the brain power for that right now. I totally get #8, the knowing of the people. It’s one of my favorite parts. I also like Christine’s rule and she would be the perfect person to make that rule, now wouldn’t she? I do love her pics!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Sandy

…yeah, it’s a part of that scottian directness (it can be a pain in the ass at times), but there is something very cool when to serves to de-clutter the view, the simple, direct view, I’m a fan.

  12. Not a new thought here, but agreed that the people I have met and come to know through the blog world are fascinating souls. These connections are enriching in so many ways.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Lisa

…well with a (nearly) a planet full of people to draw on… lol totally agree, (in many ways, has the physical encounter, friendship development beat hands down… in many respects)

  13. With you on the Canines, Clark. A woof to Una from Cloudy.

  14. dyannedillon says:

#8 is my favorite. I think how often I casually mention “my friend, Christine” or “my friend, Kate” or even, dare I say it? “My friend, Clark.” My blog friends are just as real as my IRL friends; some of them know more about me than my IRL friends do.

You have a snow-free weekend? I have a tornado-free one. Nice for a change, huh?

  15. Rose says:

Yay for no snow! We haven’t had any here in awhile, but it has finally warmed up this week and it is soooo nice to open the windows! Great TToT!

  16. Now THIS is a great list! I too love my virtual world. But the thing that strikes me the most about this post is the delightfully spring imagery….”the non-winter weather lurking (like a mugger in the park, 6’3″ 275 with a flower print dress on) outside my window this morning”! Wow, now that packs a visual punch! I want a calendar produced with your photographic images of the way you see the world. And I want that mugger to be “Miss” May!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      lol

getting a visual on your visual (reference)… maybe the scotts of Summer (they do well in bathing suits) and the rogers of Autumn? …the Big Three Holidays start then)….the clarks of the zodiac (to make it completely confusing)

  17. Kristi Campbell - findingninee says:

haha you said intercourse of friends. And I’m thankful for Denise, too. That she came to the show yesterday! And wore a Doc tee!!!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

I was hoping for some TV film crew to do interviews… maybe next year

(she said, ‘you killed ’em’ nice!)

  18. froginparis says:

Love your list. Lately all my interweb imaginary friends have been my reality. Life would be so dull without them. Love it when winter weather is working its way into pleasant weather. And a walk under the stars is divine.
