Looks like the week will be a busy one, so let’s review real quick for the new Readers.

the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers) is not a theory but does have clarks, scotts and rogers.  It sort of is a Doctrine and there is, in fact, a “wakefield” intimately related to this thing of ours.  There are people (besides the clark, the scott and the roger) who are involved and quite active here, but they are all either clarks, or scotts or rogers…of course!
While nothing is required of new Readers, there is a constant pressure on (experienced) Readers to Comment, (to) ask questions about their own experience with the Doctrine.  There are no uniforms, but there are hats (for your damn heads).  There are no rules but there is a Moderator.
(semi)Finally, the Wakefield Doctrine is a unique, useful and fun tool to have if you’ve ever felt that, if  you understood why people acted the way they do,  you would know better how to respond/when to respond/when it was in your best interest to run away.*

So what can you, (the totally new Reader), expect to find here? 
Fun!  (the Wakefield Doctrine):  is an oddly useful, in a ‘once-you-get-used-to-it’  kind of way thing, ( the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers); lots of youtube-type videos representative of a musical taste that defies categorization; references to a high school and high school students that appear to be possibly real people, but probably are not (referring to Janie, Britney, Jimmie, Mr B and Principal Clark at Millard Fillmore High, of course!) and  Comments from people referred to as DownSprings, Friends of the Doctrine and/or Progenitors.  Plenty to see/read/hear/stare at here at the Doctrine.

Don’t forget, Wednesday is “the Good…the Bad…Decide Right Now!!” day.  Not really sure if we should call it a single day event, as the discussion that it starts seems to run on into the end of the week.  But hopefully the voting will be done on the first day (remember vote early and often).  Last week the topic/subject was Cooking Shows.  This week it will be Animal Shows.  This Feature is helpful to people trying to get comfortable with identifying  clarks, scotts and rogers, by using people that are prominent in our culture, we can say (as I will tomorrow), “Go watch the Dog Whisperer.  Cesar is a scott.  I know this because”….(and we will discuss why).
It will be fun and informative, for New Readers and old alike!

Oh! oh! almost forgot to mention to you New Readers…those hats?  for your damn heads?  They are available and are, in fact, nearly free!!
(Let’s Interrupt this Message with a quick Lesson of the Day.  That business of offering something that sounds so totally good and desirable only to secretly qualify it with such fineprint that the “NASA Approved Giant Anti-Gravity Tomato Growing Harness”  that you see on the TV? how turns out to be an onion bag full of dirt and fertilizer?
That is using ‘fineprint’,  and you know who invented that, don’t you?
Come on, show of hands…(no Jimmie not a scott…it is way, way too indirect for a scott“)…anyone? Alright, the correct answer is: rogers! 
It would be a roger who invented the concept of fineprint.  Please think on this and be prepared for the topic to come back up… in a discussion of  “why would it be a roger? (and not a clark or a scott.)

Sorry, New Readers..Lesson of the Day?  Glad you asked!  We try to have one Lesson… most Posts, it’s our way of presenting the Doctrine in a different context, it helps as a way to learn to see the clarks, scotts and rogers in world. 
Back to the nearly free hats (for your damn heads)…the only cost is that you must ask for one.  A  Comment in which you describe why you think you are a (clark, scott or roger) and if you ask for a hat, I will  send one to you.
Pretty simple, isn’t it?  Oh yeah, one more requirement… You must take a photo of your newly acquired hat in front of a recognisable landmark appropriate to identify your State or region or whatever. (Your damn head underneath the hat is totally optional, yo.)
