Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
This is the Doctrine’s weekly contribution to the ‘Grat-bloghop-that-Lizzi-built’. Now in it’s twenty-third consequential year, the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) ‘hop continues to host an outstanding array of insightful observers of Life, razor-edged chroniclers of the human condition, sweetly-empathetic writers with the skill to touch the minds and hearts of Readers and … the Wakefield Doctrine.
Providing irrefutable proof and inspiring testimony to Matt’s time honored dictum that, ‘The last shall be first…’ (and, just to be on the safe side, rhetorically-speaking, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” (“Hey! John yo! thanks for havin our back, dude.”) the TToT is a place a person can retreat to and be assured that there are people who are not like the examples of humanity that seems to constitute the overwhelming majority, at least through the lens of modern cultural media.
We got a feeling (damn! another song) we’d best be pushing a certain ’65 Chevy Bel Air wagon up to jump-start speed and get outa here.

4) serial stories: ‘the Whitechapel Interlude’, ‘the Case of the Missing Fig Leaf’ and ‘Tales from the Six Sentence Café & Bistro’
5) Six Sentence Story bloghop If you’re in the mood for some flash fiction, the menu is quite comprehensive in both regional cuisine and traditional fare.
6) Visit from former TTOT hostinae …and, in facto, one of the Founding Ten Co-hosts! Kristi Brockett Brierley Hey! Kristi!! yo! (A touch of synchronicity: the thumbnail here and the photo in Kristi’s post. But then again, that kind of fun happened quite frequently, back in the before time.). Hey! Kristi, still trying to get Blogger to let me make a comment at your post. …and welcome back!
7) Work remains challenging and rewarding. Always an extra degree of gratitosity in that regard, as nothing in life guarantees that that particular necessity of life exhibit those two qualities.
8) something, something

Second paragraph…when is the ceremony father Clark! LOL.
Brilliant. The best gospel reading I’ve ever witnessed!
Now that is a service I would gladly attend…any given Sunday.
Hmmm…perhaps…lol

Thanks for the welcome! It is good to be back, and you’re right: the similar photos are just like the early TToT days.
(Don’t forget to link up your post!) :-)
Got the link up
Lets make a habit of your reminding me (‘have, of late, tended to forget)
Hmm, commenting take two. I’m rusty!
Thanks for the welcome, and you’re right about the photos!
Hey Kristi.
Unlike Clark, I have no hair to turn white(r) from the idiosyncrasies of browsers etc. but still they bugged me- so, I will say here, that gratitude is more than evident at your TToT list.
But No5 …the tablets…priceless! And due to rhst, I am thankful to you for the persistent smile on my face, at 6 am this morning.
Best wishes,
Nick.
Thanks, Nick. I chuckled throughout the day of the the misunderstanding, too!
It’s always an experience to read here.
:]
Great list and good Christian music also, doesn’t get any better.
I am especially impressed with 7).
Thank you R
Something…something…I came across a photo of me wearing the Doctrine sweatshirt. I was at Acadia National Park and the back of the sweatshirt says, of course, “Clark ’13” – I must make it back up that way sometime again soon. Oh and…thanks for the shout out. :)
Did we actually do one of those? lol (to paraphrase the tag line from ‘Love Story’): “Reality means never having to be 100% certain about the past…”
Isn’t it wonderful to have Kristi back with us?! That’s worth 10 thankfuls!
