Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
This is the Ten Things of Thankful (TToT) bloghop.
1) Phyllis (fixing Una’s dinner, out-of-frame to the upper left of photo below)
2) Una (waiting patiently)
3) the Wakefield Doctrine
4) the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules) which, from our perspective, makes all thing possible.
5) the Six Sentence Story bloghop
6) Serial Stories ‘the Whitechapel Interlude‘ and ‘the Case of the Missing Fig Leaf‘
7) Hypo-grat: End of Summer. Still, on the positive side, there are interesting/challenging yard projects. During last month’s tropical storm the bridge at the pond got lifted off it’s foundation by the flooding and moved. Items 8 & 9 document the underlying grat* of this Hypo-grat.
8) 1:44 Sunday afternoond
9) (Later that same afternoon)
10) Secret Rule 1.3
* Mimi’s Exception Chapter 23 sec 1-7 in the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules) that allows hypo-grats to count on a TToT (in part: “[w]e get that it’s a bad thing, but if you look, you will see it connected to a positive aspect of life… I’ll wait…go look!” )

Thank you so much for fixing Una’s bridge.
As Mimi likes to say when life is liberally handing out lemons, there’s gotta be some lemonade in here somewhere!
Congrats on the bridge move. That’s one heavy a** piece of construction!
And music. Perfect mood music. Today.
I hope you had some help moving that bridge back into place, or used a “work smarter, not harder” idea to move it. The force of moving water has always impressed me with what it is able to do.
yeah, my buddy Archie Medes (kinda fun, though I didn’t quite ‘move the world’ but the bridge is back in place.
What Pat said. Moving water is frighteningly powerful.
Great song. Linda Ronstadt did an album of standards, and this one was on it. Still one of my favorite records.
