Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)
Here we are, the place I was looking forward to not all that long ago, Summer.* The weather is warm. And water is unfrozen.
This is the TToT bloghop.
Kristi invites you to share1 the people, places and things that you’ve encountered that has instilled and inspired the feeling of gratitude.
Speaking for myself, the list below represent the people, places and things that elicit a sense of gratitude. Which, like the first person to say, “Well mon! We’ve got all these empty fifty-gallon oil barrels, what say we try an’ turn ’em into musical instruments.”
(lol)
1) Una ——————————————————————————————————————–⇓
2) Phyllis ————————⇑
3) Summer-like weather. Surely makes for better special effects to enhance the experience of working in the woods. (Will spare you the sweat-soaked dress-shirt that I wear when clearing brush.**)
4) Kristi’s co-hostinae: Pat, Lisa, Dyanne and, of course, Mimi!
5) Six Sentence Story each week a new homework assignment!
6) the Wakefield Doctrine the reason I’m here in the ‘sphere.
7) youtube for the access to more music than I would have the space to store, were they albums.
8) something, something
9) THIS SPACE AVAILABLE Anyone out there wanting to take our little bloghop for a test spin, put it in a Comment, totally will copy/paste here.
10) Secret Rule 1.3 (from the Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules))...”[t]he approaching conclusion of a list (“Now approaching Item Nine, please return seats to an upright position….”) is, both the realization and appreciation of the pending completion of the task does qualify for inclusion in (said) list.” ibid. op.cit. BoSR/SBoR c.2013-2020
* although, technically it is winter-without-the-low-temperatures, as the tenure of the day’s light now grows shorter each day, as if being tugged earthwards by the people outside reveling in the season
** I’m a clark…well, duh!
1) sharing, although most commonly manifested as an active/contemporaneous exchange between people, is, in fact, available to all, no matter the distance (in either time or space) separating people.

Nice list.
And Jim :D
Last night, as John and I tried (unsuccessfully, oh well) to see the comet, we were commenting on just how perfect the weather was. It was so pleasant to be outside (though the occasional whiff of skunk did make me a little concerned!)
Your deer looks healthy and happy.
Skunks are funny (not ha ha funny, of course) there are some in the woods, but each year is different in terms of how close to the house they get. Twice this Spring, we wake of to the smell (through closed windows) but only that frequently. (I still will go out before Una, if its dark out. Can’t have an encounter.)
Very …not tame, more not threatened by our presence. Una does not share our feelings… we can hear the difference in her bark when its a deer or a rabbit in the yard.
Great list and pictures; deer are much better neighbors than skunks.
This is true
Enjoyed the list, loved the chopsticks challenge. Never got beyond the third level myself.
it was fun to listen to, amazing skill to create (and play) the variations
Lovely list! YouTube is awesome!
I concur
I hate winter, but I’ve gotta say, this summer is so hot and humid and I’m getting so old and fat that I may be rethinking that winter thing.
Not hating the heat cause I know, come a day in, like, September I will get cold and then its, ‘Wait ’til next Summer’
You tube saved me from a few almost-fail attempts of doing DIY projects–installing toilets, fixing sinks, gardening…
Agree, there is something so much better to see something done than to read a repair or project guide that was written by someone who may or may not have actually performed the repair.
The last video made me laugh. I still remember the first time I ordered lobster at a local seafood restaurant. It was a special occasion, perhaps an anniversary celebration. I don’t know if it was all the butter, or the lobster, but I began feeling very ill as we exited the restaurant. I thought perhaps I was allergic to the lobster and it was many years before I attempted ordering anything with lobster in it again. I have only eaten it once since that ill-fated dinner, and then it was a bisque with some lobster in it at a restaurant in New England. My body deemed it good. :-)
Nice looking deer!
