TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Thomas: Dude! No. Way.
Jesus: Way!

Thanks go out to Kristi for keeping the doors open and the lights on.

Say what you will about social distancing, it, at least the literal form of it currently being forced upon society, has by definition, never been a factor, here in the blogosphere. Not to say there is a needed comparison between the ‘sphere and the ‘real’ world with it’s touch ‘n feel special effects. It’s simply that relationships and friendships, as so many other things in life, begin in the mind/heart. This virtual world is a place of thoughts and feelings, ideas and intuition. Heck, this ‘hop is the perfect example. Lizzi took an idea that (she) found beneficial and did the fundamental ‘right thing’. She shared it with others. As the old saying reminds us, ‘A virtue shared is a virtue multiplied’.

Enough with the thoughtful insights* My Grats for this here week here:

6) the Hobbomock Chronicles. This week we have Episode Fourteen

7) being a clark in a time of maximum stress to scotts and rogers. Welcome to the Outside. A word from an inhabitant: its not as bad as it might feel. The world is no different, only ‘the feel’ of it. As the Doctrine reminds us: the path to self-developing oneself requires that we examine (and accept) how we relate ourselves to the world around us. Not, as I always follow this statement, ‘how we relate to the world’; but how we relate ourselfs…. (Hint: it totally requires acceptance of the good and the not-as-good-as-we’d-prefer-anyone-be-aware-of that dwells within us all.)

8) THIS SPACE AVAILABLE

9) staying in the real estate business, it is deemed essential in my state. lets me go to the office just as always. of course, the office is closed and empty except for a part-time admin. (Do I hear ‘OK! So how is this any different?’ lol. well observed, Ms. Cynthia.

10) Secret Rule 1.3

Two selections: One for us older lifeforms and one for hardcore Eastersaurians**

** meant to evoke something from the Old Testament, Ezekiel or one of them guys, didn’t quite work. Makes me think of Land of the Lost (Will Farrell and Anna Friel 2009)

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

    Happy Easter Everyone.
The localized rain was a nice touch to the holiday post and Fred is always nice to listen to.

  2. The caption – still smiling.
    Uplifting post. Musical compliments.

  3. Kristi says:

Weather is strange sometimes, and meteorological lines of demarcation are especially fascinating. I guess the rain has to stop somewhere, but still, how strange when you can see it raining out one window but not the other.
#7–In my own home, things aren’t all that different, but “out there,” it feels a bit surreal. I’m glad peace can be felt regardless of circumstance.
    Happy Easter!

…but “out there,” it feels a bit surreal“. lol cannot resist… welcome to my world! (not that there’s anything wrong with ‘surreal’)

agree about where the line is, but I suspect we’re all prone to thinking ‘It’s starting to rain’ mostly ’cause we’re under it when it starts. I would hazard that out in your neck of the woods, with the wide open spaces, it is easier to see the approaching weather as it….er approaches.
      Have a good week.

  4. A blessed and beautiful Easter to all!

  5. Pat Brockett says:

So, I am wondering how often this strange weather happening occurs? Good on you for documenting it. Someday it might be a selling point should you ever sell your home. HaHa
    Love that hint in #7.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

“As you can see, the living room has a bay window and, if you’ll follow me, lets go out on the deck. It was designed to take advantage of the non-precipitation side of house.
      ;p

  6. zoe says:

    I love maps…that weather map…primo.
I agree about the blogospere…I am gonna start your serial today I hope! Looking forward to it
    Yes. Acceptance….nuttin else ta do.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

Tough though, that acceptance thing… our cultural makes it sound like failure

  7. Sageleaf says:

Haha…well-observed, indeed. Ah, I meant to get over and comment on last week’s post, AND I wanted to call in last weekend (I know, I know, the whole “intentions” and “hell” thing), but here we are.

BUT, this whole ‘ronavirus thing is a huge observational experiment for us clarks and I have A WHOLE LIST of questions I’ve formulated for the next time I call in. (Which had better be soon given that it’s grown from two existential questions to a whole host of abstruse inquiries.)

I mean…everything from “this is a new normal” I keep hearing people use (which, I downright dislike that phrase because, all things considered, isn’t normal, just a pause before the Rogers return to The Great State of Society) to the collective ambiguity people often reference. Note that I’m neither criticizing nor downplaying these things but that they seem so very rogerian contrarian to me and I sometimes want to say, LIFE IS AMBIGUOUS IN GENERAL, dammit.

Oh how so very clark of me. 🙄 lol

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

Look forward to it (a further discussion of) this whole experiment in social manipulation. (of course, we all are like, social isolation? oh, you mean like feel separated from everything you believe came you a sense of belonging…. sure thing. get right on it.
      …oh, you’re serious! …like a I said)
read an interesting essay on the facebook (courtesy of someone writing in Medium (the platform)) about how there is an opportunity here during the Great Stop Everything… he/she didn’t use the word perspective, but surely that is a valid approach to assimilating (any) value of this very strange time.

The rogers are suffering the most (though mitigated by the ‘we’re all in this together’ rogerian take on exertions of the socio-medico complex) scotts are doing ok, provided they have a secondary clarklike aspect, if its a secondary rogerian not so much.

      will speak to you soon
