Monday -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

A week of posts. A variety of topics and subjects. The idea is to crank-up the pace of my writing, aka practice. This is not to say that these are only random thoughts, i.e. typing practice. Well, to a certain extent, how sincere is anything we do, short of those times that our lives depend on the outcome? I might argue that everything should be approached as being a life and death affair. Of course, the wording (or grammar or syntax or whatever the correct word is) is a trick, I am not suggesting that the actions we take through the course of today should be viewed as resulting in a state of life or death. Too literal, yo. It’s more a matter of using the thought ‘life and death’ to remind me that wasting time is surely the actual Original Sin. That maybe, Adam (or Madam, lol), thought he was buying into immortality when he made his choice. (That reminds me of a post a long time ago that suggested that Adam was a roger, Eve a clark and the Serpent, a scott. Now that I read that, I’ll stand on the original assertion.)

In any event, I’m out to write more and, although my primary target is the edit of Almira, I believe that any writing is better than no writing. As the old adage reminds us, ‘Quality follows quantity, and skill is the child of practice.’

So, without a set amount of words required, lets see how this goes.

Hey! Zoe stopped by with a comment. It’s newsworthy for two reasons: a) she’s been in absentia of late and, 2) she goes way back with this here blog here, and 3) I owe a lot to her encouragationing of my efforts to improve my writing. (The odd verb, ‘encouragationing’ is a combination of providing a context for learning as opposed to directly teaching and continuing support, albeit indirectly for the resulting effort on my part. Specifically, her Six Sentence Story bloghop (Very specifically, “Hey! clark Join us and participate in this bloghop!”)

lol And, by all accounts, it worked. My writing is better today than it was when I started this here blog here.

Speaking of good influences, Friend of the Doctrine, Cynthia Calhoun continues on her path to finding expression for her inherently good nature. Go to her site, Intuitive and Spiritual and see what I mean.

It looks like I’m out of time for this morning. (lol. I looked and the word count is 420… this, nowadays is a short post. When I started this blog, it was ‘holy smoke! over 400 words!!)

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

So glad Zoe stopped by! She’s an incredible human, that one. I still have a coffee table book that she sent me in honor of my trip to Maine. And there it sit on my coffee table, beckoning me to return to the northeast sometime. Preferably sooner rather than later. :)
Thanks for the shout out. I’ been workin’ on all sorts of things. Things to roll out, things to come, even videos (not published) but coming through the pipeline. Whewee! It’s all very busy-ful and inspiring.
Adam a roger, Eve a clark and the serpent a scott?! I like it! Eve…the only one thinking legitimate thoughts. :D HAHAH.
Anyways, happy Monday to ya! Have a great week!

  2. No doubt the practice of anything, writing, playing an instrument, learning another language, produces a greater proficiency. As to the every day “life or death affair”. I agree the construct can be advantageous.
    Keep up the good work.
Zoe? Where?? I’ve missed her again!
(oh yes, your original assertion dead on lol)

  3. The only way to really learn is by doing.

Hope Zoe stops in more often.
