TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine- “Fue hace quinqué años en junio, Sargeant Pepper le enseñó a la banda a tocar

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

“Clueless and Fate on a Summer Afternoon.”
(Landscape Orientation)
The vertical stiles along the railing of the deck might (to the bird in the photo) appear as a fatally-inefficient wall or a forest created by a more thoughtful and considerate diety. In any event in the relentlessly three dimensional reality of the aforementioned bird its just a rather bland demarcation of the square flat forest glade that it chose to take a breather on.

Our Host, Kristi, pointed out in her weekly announcement of the opening of the week’s post over on, ‘el Facialibre’* that June is, in facto, the multiversary of the beginnings of this here bloghop here. (Apparently** that was five years ago, this June past.)

1) Una  ↓

2) Phyllis*** ↑

3) the Wakefield Doctrine

4) THIS SPACE AVAILABLE (up here in Number 4 position this week only, to make room for a reverse countdown of previous TToT posts, because of the ‘reunion theme’ that Kristi started off her weekly posting) In any event, this Item is reserved for anyone who is in the position of desire being one tiny, (really small, surely shouldn’t have any effect at all, yet…) step behin self-consciousness. The answer, (for this week in any event, and surely, with the first Item posted the rest will be way easier), is to send as a Comment your Item (and desired attribution) and I’ll post it here.

5) Item June 2017

6) Item: June 2016

7) Item: June 2015

8) Item: June 2014

9) Item the very first Wakefield Doctrine TToT

10) Secret Rule 1.3 (from the Book of Secret Rules aka the Secret Book of Rules, which, in part, states: ‘the completion of a Ten Things of Thankful list, does, in fact,  constitute, comprise and qualify as (an) Item of Thankful’… go ahead, stick that bad boy right there at number 10!’)

* not ‘real’ Spanish

** clarks and Time, they have a certain, nontraditional relationship, so a clark, if asked how long the TToT has been going on might answer ”Eight years?’ (or) ‘At least three years now!’ both with equal enthusiasm and yet, go up to your nearest clark and say, “hey! do me a favor? let me know when 17 minutes have elapsed.” and as sure as you can say, ‘jeez, is that really the best use of a magnificent mind?’ the clark will say, ‘err, excuse me? your 17 minutes are up.’   no, really. I’m serious,

*** sorta, thats her computer, though

(For reasons that don’t stick to words overly-well, this song has a strong association with Ola.)

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Wrote a comment, stopped to click on spiral corn picture and duh, comment disappearo…
So, yeah, you’re accurate on the clarks and perception of time, lol
Thanks for posting the links with the past. Very enjoyable time travel.

  2. That time continuum is weird, isn’t it? Planning that time travel as soon as i can get back.

Grateful for the doctrine. :) I always love seeing Phyllis and it’s fun seeing her computer and her hugging Una. I had to laugh at your Spanish. I was scratching my head and thinking, “huh, I might need to brush up on it cuz that don’t make sense to me.” HAHA. And time. You’re so right! You keep getting those “clarkisms” exactly EXACT. lol. For the past few days in meditation, I will have been sitting there for about an hour and I’ll think, “is my timer still working?” and you’re not technically supposed to look at the timer…but I genuinely thought that perhaps it stopped. I waited…waited…and finally peeked with 11 seconds in my session to go. lol. The other day I did the same thing with 20 seconds to go – after doing 60 minutes. I’m always quite aware of the time, while at the same time it seems so fleeting…
    Time. Relevantly irrelevant.

On the excellent Spanish, I plead ‘Google’!
lol (they promised me that all I had to do was type what I wanted to say, “It’s been five years ago this month, Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play…” and they’d take care of the rest.)
totally expect to see a ‘Google Defense’ show up in courts any day now!

I cannot believe you mention hypogratitude in your very first TToT! I would have thought the concept would have require time to develop, and yet there you are on week 1 nailing it!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      lol
It kinda makes sense (the notion of hypogratitude) as it was (and sort of still is) an issue with me and a grat blog. it is a very intimidating notion, to write about emotions that are not exactly first default reactions to the world.

  5. Pat B says:

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing that blast to the past via your TToT posts!
You had me going with your “not real” Spanish. LOL
Yes, I can see her in my mind’s eye behind that computer. She’s watching you. :-)

Phyllis does enjoy taking photos. (and, being a roger, she takes photos as you might expect… one picture at a time. lol as a clark if I want to take a picture I will take as many as possible. the underlying assumption being that I don’t want to miss and un-recognized opportunity (for a really good one) and so…the thousands of clicks. Phyllis holds the camera up and looks through it until she sees the shot and clicks…once.
      I so don’t get that.

I enjoyed this TToT and the links to previous years.
I do enjoy my virtual presence in your life.
    Thank you!

  7. Kristi says:

I should put you in charge of letting all the previous TToTers know about the reunion month! You have links to all the past co-hosts. I tried to tag those who are on the Facebook page, but I’m afraid I missed some. (It probably would have made more sense if I had thought to make June the reunion month, but we’ll just go with that time-travel sign you posted.) :-)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

that time travel joke never gets old for me (which, of course, only makes sense…metaphysically-speaking)… It is fun to see all the visitors from TToTs past.

I love a guest who brings all the favorite memories to the party. You know, like “Play It Again, Sam” and “Thanks for the memories”. I began participating in 2014, about a year after Lizzi, began the hop. The only constant is change – and gratitude.
