Wednesday -the Wakefield Doctrine-

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Yesterday we discussed the concept of secondary and tertiary aspects in the Wakefield Doctrine.

And, yes, to those (clarks!) who are thinking, this is my chance to change how the world sees me! (involuntary shudder at the word ‘sees’… well, clarks).

And no, knowledge, contrary to the very foundation of your personality, will not ‘set you free’.

Not that there’re anyone but clarks, still reading… but, how many times have you awoken with a fire within to make the day out there be different. This time. And …and! you are genuinely fired up! …damn it!

And it works until…

(We loves  insight into the ambition for self-improvement and the initial tenacity of resolve, courtesy of Iron Mike when he said: “Everybody’s got a plan, until they get punched in the face.”)

Funny thing ’bout this: it’s true, but not the way you, as a scottian or rogerian Reader might get. (clarklike Readers need but a reminder)… it’s not the resistance of the world, hell, it’s not the counter-punch from the status quo that throws a clark off their (self-improvement) game. The slings and arrows? We don’t care.

What sabotages our sincere effort to stop being (fill in the blank. we know what goes here. But there might be rogers and scotts still reading. Why hand ‘it’ to them? We’ll be getting back to doing that pretty much by 10:45 am or ninety minutes after lunch…at the latest).

We succeed in being upfront/assertive/emotional with the world around us and the people who make it up…initially. And we see the results. The world regards us differently.

And then, being so ‘happy’, we totally forget. To do whatever we were doing… acting the way, fading …fading.

New Readers! PopQuiz!

Assuming a clark does their reading and learns the principles of the Wakefield Doctrine. Got it down cold. To the extent they can not only spot the clarks, scotts and rogers in their world, like, within 23 seconds of observation. Why do they revert to form?

  1. they forget to remember how they felt
  2. their secondary and tertiary aspects were weak
  3. who cares, really, how many times can they overcome the dark silent voice within, telling them that this is just another self-lie?

None of the above.

The clark, here in our little scenario, has forgotten that the foundation of the Wakefield Doctrine’s perspective is the character of the relationship they maintain with the world around them and the people who make it up. And the essence of each of the three relationships, (of the Wakefield Doctrine), are intrinsically different. One is mental, one is physical(ish) and the third is emotional.

The good news: each of the three have the potential to appreciate the truth of this observation.

The bad news: it requires almost more resolve and perseverance to accept it than the average person can do on their own.

That’s it for today.

Seeing how good you, the New Readera, have been, getting this far in an admittedly difficult Doctrine post, here’s a Bonus!

Short, short technique to identify the predominant worldview of a person. Ask them: ‘How much is two plus two?’

Answer in Friday’s post.*

*If you remind us, that is.

Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one
