Cesar is the KING. I never get tired of watching him. He IS a scott. All dogs are also scotts. So Cesar’s show is all about pack mentality–right up a scott’s alley. Cesar repeatedly demonstrates how one scott establishes dominance over other scotts. Direct scott to scott action. Endlessly fascinating despite the repetetiveness. The selection of clark wives and roger husbands just keeps the action from getting diffused. No OTHER scotts allowed. Just Cesar and the dog(s). The way Cesar establishes dominance over anxious or aggressive dogs–and makes us know that the dogs WANT this—well it makes a man proud to be a scott. Scotts are perfect creatures in nature. Not so perfect in polite society–but in nature…sublime. I will tune in Cesar even when theb Red Sox AND the Celticcs are on–and I can sit through marathon hours of Cesar. He IS the embodiment of all that is admirable about scotts. LOVE to see my people doin’ good..
there is no question about the directness and simplicity ( of the scottian nature), but to state the obvious (no!! no way..that I would never expect) but if there were only scotts in the world…
lets leave to the ‘imagination’ of the Readers.
I feel (oddly) compelled to speak up for the rogers…Marlin and Whale guy both…
It is not to say that they are not both shameless, self-aggrandizing, ego beyond measure, cheap emotion-whores…but it is the attention to an issue that (were it not for them) would be relinquished to being hunted by scotts or photographed and then talked-to-in-their-species-specific-language by clarks.
So we need rogers for their talent for focusing attention on issues that can benefit from (this attention). So lets hear it for the rogers!! How can we thank them enough? if not for the rogers, who would wear those totally gay fanniepacks or worse, those man-purses (attached to belt or apres), or all that corporate labeled clothing…hell for that matter, what about the manufacturers of berets? Huh? What about them?

We also need rogers as a food supply. But, it IS odd that you feel compelled to defend them. It’s not like they can’t defend themselves.They are the most defensive people in the world. Endorsement of their victimhood is just overkill. They already know they are being put upon and mistreated–all the fucking time.
…ok now try to write a Comment that sounds like it is coming from an adult, with reasonable communications skills, well-versed in the Wakefield Doctrine and (here is probably where things will get off track) and you have an interest in helping other Readers understand (and therefore) appreciate this thing of ours….as opposed to, say a Facebook quality Comment.

I just did. See the comment on 07-23 post. Read it–and maybe you’ll quit trying to turn me into a clark. And maybe, you’ll stop trying to over-develop your rogerian side. Sheesh! Relax already. OK? A scott do what a scott do. A roger do what a roger do. A clark usually tries to figure out what a scott or a roger woud do, analyze why they would do that, and then make an awkward, ineffective attempt at imitating that behavior. All along, they are unanware that THAT is what a clark do. So it’s all good. Everything in Jethro’s world is as it “should” be.
