(“a piece of the action…”)

Lady Downspring here.  I’ve decided to suit up again.  I quite enjoy it on occasion but I digress.  My first and last Post for this blog was about a year ago.  “What is wrong with that?” you may ask.  Everything and nothing at all.  I am, after all, a clark.  It is within my purview to procrastinate, take for granted, lose urgency/energy, be fearful, wonder that there is anything pertinent I can contribute, castigate myself – wait, that’s reserved for my “other” friends…..  to the conversation that is the Wakefield Doctrine, the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers.  So why would I think I have nothing pertinent, nothing of value to say? What is it that keeps me reading but not writing? Could it be connected to how I view the world? (with fear CY – with fear.  the clue to your clarklike nature lies within the domain of fear.)

The question and subsequent question of the day for the veteran “25” and new readers alike?  “How does one learn to view the world differently?”,  “Can I view the world differently?”  This presupposes the desire (“shh… no, not now…”) to change how one views the world.  First, let us assume the position (no glenn. get up!) that one has identified oneself as predominantly a clark, scott or roger. What would be next?  If you identified yourself as having clarklike “symptoms” not to worry too much (yet). You will continue to read the Wakefield Doctrine as long as it amuses and challenges you, you can learn from it; you do not find yourself distracted by something else.  If on the other hand you recognize your primary status as that of a scott, (no!. all egos must, I repeat must….….. check at the door) then it depends on how hungry you are and whether there is enough to satisfy you.  Thirdly, if you lay claim to being of rogerian descent then it becomes a little more complex.  Assumptions have been made.  If the conversation that is the Wakefield Doctrine aligns with your interpretation, with your world view at the moment, Godspeed.

clarks! This session you may sit.  I will speak of our little scottian friends.  “You!  In the seat by the door!  Go get that roger and drag him back here! ” rogers do not like to be told what to do (unless it is by a scottian female – a male roger will always defer to the scottian female.) For more on how the Wakefield Doctrine can be applied to relationships I will refer you to our very own Ms. AKH.)

To be scottian is to be dominant or submissive (to another scott only).  One or the other.  There are dominant scotts and lesser scotts. (not in a diminutive way)  Keep in mind: clarks think, scotts act and rogers feel, you will no doubt catch on quickly to the nuances of the many ways a clark views the world, how a scott views the immediate landscape, and how a roger views the world as it should be.  scotts are high energy individuals with a short attention span.  They make decisions quickly (because they are so certain of themselves).  scotts can be quick to anger however they hardly ever hold a grudge.  And why? scotts are of the present.  They like to be the focus of attention. (down boy, almost finished)

scotts are often misunderstood.  There is no delicate way to say it – they are often thought of as assholes.  Many of them are but more often than not scotts possess a soft, tender side.  My advice:  learn the Wakefield Doctrine, the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers and you will learn how to handle not only the scotts in your life but the clarks and rogers as well.  It may take a little time but once you catch on it can not only be fun but it can bring positive results to both your work life and home life.  Who doesn’t want to live a less complicated life?

View the vid clip and take note to the scotts attempting to establish ranking.  Take further note to the ultimate, good natured (but do not test me) roger that is our Capt. Kirk. (“No way like the Federation way”.)

Next sessionWhere there is a clark there is always a scott/where there is a scott there is always a clark.

the play’s the thing or Twilight: Viento Rompiendo

(…you’re right, it’s almost too quiet….)

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers) This is the place to learn  to make sense of the behavior of those in our lives. At home, at work and at play, what people do will finally make sense and, in case that was not enough, the Wakefield Doctrine will allow you to predict the behavior of people in virtually any situation!

Hey, who would not want to read more? Actually, the answer is: most rogers and a surprisingly large percentage of scotts. (That all clarks would want to have the ability to understand and predict the behavior of others is axiomatic to the point of redundancy.) But I am being told, with increasing frequency, that I have to “lighten-up” these here Posts here.
“They” are saying that you Readers want to see Posts that are fun, and funny. It is not enough to offer information beyond value, I must (am being told), lure you into reading these Posts by putting up lots of music videos and maybe keep  the topics… more topical!  YouTube Preview Image

There, is that topical enough?

(…topical enough for the nursing home, lol…its 3 o’clock and all the residents are in the day room playing, “who can remember their life”…)

Well! It appears that Miss Sullivan is back. Maybe I can get off the “obvious track” and jump over to the “contrived track”… why the hell not?
For new Readers (I’m talking to you, Autonomous Region of Madrid) “Miss Sullivan” is, “in fact” Janie Sullivan. (With the coming semester), Janie is a Senior at Millard Fillmore High and along with her bff Britney and friend without benefits, Jimmy, will often show up in these Posts. The whole gang at Mill Fill High provides a context for presenting the Wakefield Doctrine that is a little (a very, very, very…approaching limits of detection…very) little more accessible to some Readers than the more commonly utilised, Lecture form of Post.

(…and tell them I speak fluent blue italics and that I am not really as close to the edge of creepy as some of those old, old DownSpring people sometimes say…)

I think they get the point by now. Besides this high school students as characters ’device’ , new Readers will also frequently encounter the Wakefield Doctrine Lesson of the Day. These are efforts to present the Doctrine in a contemporary, (lol..frequently?..before meds or after?…) nearly real life situation. All efforts are directed towards allowing the Reader to see what the hell we are talking about.
Every effort is made to relate the Wakefield Doctrine to current, contemporary culture, in particular current pop culture. (…before afternoon nap? or after “lets all hold the big blanket in the Day Room while painfully loud music is played?…) If we use for example, the movie… 2001 A Space Odyssey…or (…old people alert!!…you have fallen into reverie and you can’t get out!!…) Well then, Miss Janie if you would like to cite a contemporary example?

Twilight Ecilpse  lol… if anyone wanted to know how many rogers can be found with a SAG card, we have the answer! (Answer: Too many).  The protagonist is a roger, the antagonist is a scott (barely) and the (girl) protagonist is such a clark….although it is clear that the Director insisted that she could not do her own wardrobe and/or  stick something silly on top of her head or wear out-sized glasses or…the plot? Simple: roger suffers and meets girl, roger loses girl (and suffers) roger gets girl (and suffers)…audience…also suffers. THE END

Ahem…a little evidence to substantiate your claims, Miss Sullivan?  (…interview of Kristen Stewart (the clarklike female lead) on Regis…bet you can spot the scott and the roger there! lol how convenient, all three types just sitting there talking…)

The movie itself?  oh alright…if you insist…here is the trailer….

You know, now that I read this Post I might be prepared to say that for the most part actors play characters true to their own form…in other words identify the character type in the roles (an actor tends to play) and you will know what the person is, in real life…odd…but will save it for another Post…Mr. B? you must be back if the kids are back…

Something timeless if you will…

Very droll Mr. Janitor…if you could approach the 20th Century …

Yes, yes we have used this song before…author prerogative….

it goes so heavily with my disposition that this goodly frame, the earth, seems to me a sterile promontory

(uh, oh)…semi-obscure classical literature reference…never a good sign when it shows up at the start of a Post. Sort of like, the smell of gasoline when you have flooded the engine. (Age warning, suspect that it is not possible to “flood” the modern gasoline engine, what with fuel injection and all). Still ‘treading water’ here, waiting for a line or a thought or something to get me beyond the single phrase level of exposition.

( …hint from ‘soon-to-be-high-school-senior-imaginary-student’…just start typing…you can always throw it all on the ground… )
Good advice, as always from our Miss Sullivan.

Lets make this a Reader-participation Post. ( …yeah lol…as if… )  no, seriously. Today is Tuesday, it is a day that there are a good number of Readers stopping by to see what it going on at the Doctrine.

  teen appeal

ok that gets us started but what about the twenty-somethings?

( …ok please stop now…get to the Doctrine Lesson of the Day…please…. )

Alright…is 7:30  have nothing but a hyper-developed ego (regarding these Posts) so I will Post this…with a promise to come back later in the day with something worthwhile…I am actually at the point that I seem to be able to do this…and this is, in fact, the Wakefield Doctrine Lesson of the Day.

With the conscientious application of the principles contained in the Wakefield Doctrine, anyone can alter their reality to a degree that is not possible with any other “self-help”, “self-empowerment” or any other of the hundreds of products/disciplines/training programs. If you are a (Reader) who would like to make fundamental changes to yourself and subsequently to your life, this is the place for you.  Or, “petitio principii” which is not quite the proper phrase, but is further proof that you too can acquire the ego of the roger, which combined with the thoughtless aggressiveness of the scotts will let you totally leave behind your un-satisfactory but still all-consuming existence.

YEah.
