TToT -the Wakefield Doctrine- ‘it’s all in the perspective… by chance or by design!’

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

(does anyone else see the ‘Tim Burton-ish’ flower-man trying to sneak up on Una, or is it just me?)

Item Number 1: Una and non-snow covered ground

Metm Number 2: Comment from Vanessa… it was, (of a), content and, (a), timing that I am really appreciable for*  (The Comment: “I will be sure to keep this reference guide handy to assist with translating future posts. I think I might be a clark – and I’m not fond of many of those saying although “drill down” had it’s place until it became popular management buzz speak.”)  I felt the feeling that has (always) served as a reminder of the reason for writing this here blog here.

Item Number 3: The TToT co-hostinae and them… I continue to feel grateful for being included in that very exceptional group of bloggerini

Item Rebmun 4: I will cite, (as we all do, from time to time), the current technology that makes all this not only possible, but enjoyable (through the relative ease of use of the computers and internets and such.

Book of Secret Rules (aka the Secret Book of Rules): Where to start? The Book is growing weekly by virtue of the contributions of clever (and desperate) bloggers who, like a modern day Indiana Jane(s), sees the idol, knows there is a trap, senses time running out and…cites Chapter, Section and (at times) verse. one of the reason that this is the best of all blohops.

SGV: (Seven Guard Virgins) the Enforcer(s) and Temptrae charged with adjudicating challenges and solicitations from writers since…well, since this blog hop started! (New Readers? zoe/ivy is the Mistress of Dance and Hope, and Intermediary par exemplar

7: soo you didn’t get what I was referring to in the photo caption at the top of this Post?

see?!! see?!! "Una!! Look out behind you!!"

see?!! see?!! “Una!! Look out behind you!!”

8) grateful for not being so caught up in work that I’m not able to find the time to spend getting this photo ‘to work’.

9) yeah, more photos from the road won’t be a bad thing  ( oh yeah,  thank you to Kristi for the Drexel photo that’s on this post…on the landing page at the Doctrine, coming here by the link means you wouldn’t see it. excellent dog.)

10) 1.3 baby 1.3!

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

you know I saw #7 in the first shot but thought he had two heads… very cool though… Una looks great!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

lol yeah… I got that too, and (I need to look up the Tim Burton film something about Jack…one of those claymation or puppet-based animations things)

I know I could count on your to see the joke (took me like an hour to figure out how to get that close-up shot)

  2. valj2750 says:

Hey-o! I should have brought the Wakefield Doctrine cap to the Outer Banks of NC. Next time.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

Don’t forget Val… the Treaty of Tordesillas and the Right of Hat says that you can claim the whole Outer Banks for your ownself!

  3. valj2750 says:

Oh, and I also wanted to say, Una looks outstanding in the field. (But of course, she is lying down).

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      lol

a very attractive (and un-photographical dog!) We, unfortunately, have always had dark colored furniture in the living room (“Phyllis? have you seen Una?” “Yes Clark, she’s right there on the couch. Asleep” “oh, of course!”)

  4. Vanessa D. says:

We – as in Jackson and Louie and me – are quite grateful for non-snow covered ground too. Of course the me in that statement would love if the Jackson in that statement hadn’t worn quite so many bare spots in the non-snow covered ground. Not that the bald spots themselves bother me, but it’s been a challenge keeping up with the muddy paw-prints that follow Jackson on his trail from the toilet to the door.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

we have bath towels (and a towel rack) set up by the back door, for just that eventuality. (not to mention the shaking off on rainy days…fortunately, unlike any of our previous dogs, Una does not particularly like water (but totally loves snow)…

      • Vanessa D. says:

Sadly most of the muddy paw prints trail out of the bathroom. Jackson lets water dribble out of his mouth as he leaves his preferred drinking fountain, which then turns the dirt on his paws to muddy prints. Perhaps when I finally get around to installing new flooring I’ll just select one with a paw print pattern for camouflage? Either way I refuse to be bothered by it. Large breed dogs have such short life spans compared to ours that I know I’ll be mourning the paw prints sooner than I would like.

        • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

hey! great idea (the paw print flooring pattern)… we have that!

(a cool thing, more easily observable in large dogs?), watch them shaking off water. It’s not simply ‘shake-until-dry’… the shaking starts at their head and moves down their backs to the tail…in a kind of spiral motion… very cool

  5. lrconsiderer says:

I SAW HIM AT THE BEGINNING :D

And I’m GLAD you know that it’s Ivy who’s the enforcer of the 7, and THEY of the dance, not me! *levels a ‘look’ at Jen*

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

and…and! we get to interrupt comment threads, be sure to mention that! lol (hold on, I think I’ll go and randomly say something in the middle of someone’s private conversation….)

  6. Blogitudes says:

After the winter we had here at home, even just pictures of green grass (that don’t include such sweet-looking dogs as Una) make me smile. :) Glad Una is enjoying it. I know I am. And this Secret Book of Rules that a few of you have mentioned, must be a really good secret … because I know nothing at all about it. Hope I’m not breaking any of them. :)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

the BoSR/SBoR* is one of the really unique things about ‘the bloghop that Lizzi built’… at first blush it seems to provide a work around for the (implied) Rules of the TToT… but, as zoe (or Christine) will be apt to tell you, ‘nuh uh! it’s actually a more challenging device… to use and/or leverage a SR

  7. Kristi says:

Drexel says thanks for the shout-out. He is a good boy.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

very true… (‘lovingly patient’ might have been a good caption)
      lol

  8. Reta Jayne says:

Haha. I totally saw the flower man — but not until I read the caption on the first photo! Too funny! :) He looks like he is waving Una down, though. . . Not so menacing — just awkward, maybe. LOL.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

I’m thinking: clarks see it first, rogers ‘note’ it but focus on something else and scotts don’t see it until it’s pointed out (only because it’s not really enough, them being the ever-alert of the three personality types)

  9. christine says:

Thank you for the close-up. I had not a clue what you were talking about. Shocking, I know. ;)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

no, not really… lol (I mentioned to Reta, below) that it’s not that your people are not alert, but I’ll be you a trillion dollars* that if we showed a bunch of optical illusions (‘trop d oils’ photos and drawings and such) to people, the scotts would be less impressed by them than the other two. (clarks totally loves those kinds of things, but scotts… sure, you guys ‘see it’ but it’s abstract-subjective…. you’re more the touch-feel-if-it-runs-away-chase-it-if-it-runs-towards-you-get-ready-to-fight type…. guys walking up stairs upside down, interesting, but not real enough)

hey! what am I thinking!! this is the age of the internet lets see some of these optical whatsiseses

      * not to exaggerate

  10. Yvonne says:

That flower man is so cool!
And you are right – it’s all about perspective. Life. The universe. Everything. All about perspective.
I read this weekend that some scientists think that the universe is holographic – so it’s divided into billions of pieces and in each is the entire universe – so we are all the entire universe.
    I kinda love that perspective!

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

here at the Doctrine, from the very beginning, we’ve been wrestling with the problem of how best to ‘represent’ the fact of three characteristic worldviews and the idea that, while only one (of these) manifests as our personal reality, the ‘other two’ are potential(ly) available to us all… the holographic model seems to work best. I live in the reality of the Outsider, but behind/within/implicit of that are the other two worlds… tricky as all get out, but, in my own practice, I try to be less concerned with whether my expression of a particular idea holds together or can survey scrutiny than I am if (these) expressions can move my mind out of the life-long routine way of perceiving the world around me
      ya know?

  11. Kristi Campbell - findingninee says:

Look out Una! Also you look great in the grass. So much better than the snow.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

very… though she actually like the snow, there is a greater likelihood that we would stay outside with her for more than 10 minutes when it’s not 20 degrees

  12. Ok, I see the cookie monster in the picture.. A stylized version, but the cookie monster nevertheless :-)

  13. amycake76 says:

Yep, there he is, creepy little fella.
