1/2 of 10 things plus a video and… the Wakefield Doctrine ( it’s the weekend…it’s the TToT!)

Welcome to the Wakefield Doctrine (the theory of clarks, scotts and rogers)

Chondroitin_Sulfate_Structure_NTP

This is the Ten Things of Thankful, the creation (along with a group of co-hosts that is 9/10s lovely and talented and 1/10th me). Lizzi took a fairly straightforward, if not challenging and difficult, exercise in self-development and nurtured a community of like (and non-like) minded writers and bloggers and others who gather here each weekend and share strength and off-load stress and fear with the group. You should really try it! (However, a lot like chondroitin,  the benefits are felt only after a certain amount of time and energy invested. Not that this is a requirement! Many people stop by whenever they can, intermittently and such. It’s just that for those of us who can benefit (from this exercise) and are (constitutionally) un-inclined to actually do something like write a gratitude list…. well, wait for 5-7 weeks of writing Post(s), before you decide if this is worth the effort.* On with the damn list, already!

10) the Wakefield Doctrine  (see the following, preceding list)

9) Kristi  (‘K2 Kristi’, not ‘Kristi Kristi’… Kristi is a roger, while Kristi is a clark) she wrote this week’s Thursday Guest Post Thursday Post and it was excellent! (one of the rather cool things about the Doctrine is that we have a principle that maintains, ‘everyone does everything at one time or another’. The meaning and application of this principle is as varied and adjustable as the definition itself. In this instance, I am referring to the fact that I learned something new about the worldview of rogers. And, seeing how this whole Doctrine effort is about appreciating and knowing more and more about all three worldviews, this is something to be grateful for….)

8) the Vidchat (in general) and last night’s Vidchat specifically   ( kinda  broad** a statement, I realize, but if you have not joined Lizzi and Michelle and them on a Friday-Night-at-the-Jetson’s you do not know what you are missing)

7) Christine and Dyanne joined us last night (on the Vidchat) and if there was no Wakefield Doctrine, I would have been able to create at least two thirds of it last night in the 35 minutes or so that they both joined the group…fun

6) hypo-grateful for my deficient time management… work (which I am grateful for) if demanding nearly all my awake time, leaving v little time to do the other things in my life that is part of living a normal (sort of) productive (well, lets consider all the definitions of the term) and….  er  life-like!

5) the following video was done on my normal Friday evening  auto-walk with Una (it should produce the remaining five items in today’s TToT!)

4) (in the video!)

3) (right above here!!)

2) (photo of a dog with a red triangle, says ‘youtube?)

1) (…the Beginning!)

*the above results are typical. your benefits may vary, things (good) and things (bad) do look larger in reflection, it is not your imagination

clarkscottroger About clarkscottroger
Well, what exactly do you want to know? Whether I am a clark or a scott or roger? If you have to ask, then you need to keep reading the Posts for two reasons: a)to get a clear enough understanding to be able to make the determination of which type I am and 2) to realize that by definition I am all three.* *which is true for you as well, all three...but mostly one

  1. Clark, have a wonderful weekend and finally 80 plus degrees here. I thought of you this week, when I finally could completely ditch the jackets and was no longer fearful of temps dipping below 60! But seriously, hope you are doing well and thanks again for hosting :)

  2. And I think I was indeed first!!!! :) :)

  3. susanzutautas says:

I wasn’t able to watch your video above….. when I clicked on it, it said private. Oh well. Have a great weekend!

  4. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

thank you Susan! the Friday/Saturday video (component of this week’s TToT post) is available to the public… please have your tickets ready, those without tickets…tell ’em Arthur sent ya.

    • zoebyrd says:

gotta come back for the vid. no speakers in this office. I too enjoyed Kristi’s post immensely… nice roger choice…

  5. Kristi says:

Adobe flash plug-in keeps crashing during the video (I think the problem is on my end), but from what I saw of the video, Una really loves her “walks”!

Thanks for the invitation to guest post. I’m glad that I apparently succeeded in producing insight, and not just a caricatured example of rogers.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      she does
you did not (in fact, I mention in the end of the video, the cool thing about what has the appearance of an insight in your worldview that is close to the impact of ‘referential authority’! the concept that (in the reality of the Herd Members, expectations can be nouns as well as verbs!) very cool… need to continue that line of inquiry.

(rogerian joke*: “…not just a caricatured example of rogers.” why I can’t imagine anyone would even think something like that!)

…now to see if the italics-based witticism worked!

      *actually clark joke about rogers

  6. Val Newman says:

I think I have a lot to learn and I’ll be visiting this blog again and again for awhile.

    Val

you may find the the hard questions are easy and the easy question are hard, here at the Doctrine…but most of us agree, go with the premise (three secret realities to account for everyone)…read about clarks and scotts and rogers (and how they tend to act) and the rest will take care of itself and, …and! it’s a lot of fun!

  7. zoebyrd says:

Got back for the vid. Looks like you were keeping Una awake on that one! Although I suppose she has heard just about all there is to hear of Doctrine-speak, so she can be forgiven for all the exhaustive yawning.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

lol… no! lol ( human please! enough with the Doctrine thing!)

      • zoebyrd says:

I often wonder if Skip has a name for me… Do you think Una thinks of you as “human” ? Well, by that name I mean?

        • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

          zoe

interesting thought… I have always maintained that dogs (especially those raised as ‘part of the family) not only have self-awareness, but function at a pretty respectable level of intelligence… which, as we all know is a simple measure (of a life form) until you define it (intelligence, not life form). I suspect most people agree that a huge component (of the definition of intelligence) is the capacity for problem solving. which then forces you to look at what kind of problems etc… one of my favorite Ola stories (seeing how you insist): when we first got Ola, both of us worked and we left Ola at home during the day, not un-expectedly she was not all that happy with this arrangement. At some point in the first 6 or 7 months we gave Ola her first bath using the bath tube on the main floor. She did not enjoy the process (as is often the case). a week or two after this bath, Phyllis and I had completed our respective morning rituals (exercise shower breakfast etc) and we were preparing to leave and we couldn’t find Ola. Looked outside (nope, didn’t forget her out there), looked in the lower level…the living room …nope. We did finally find her, she was sitting in the bath tub.
(seeing how you know dogs and, among the other Readers, only those with dog will know what that was about… those without dogs probably wouldn’t believe the inference I took from finding Ola, sitting patiently in an empty bath tub).

          • zoebyrd says:

Very cool story….I assume Skip has an association for me and not a specific name as Tseering was wus a short time only and he doesnt actually hear a name said rregularly for me. And most often I dont speak in the third person to him, lol.

        • Kristi says:

We had a samoyed for 16 (!) years, who was quite a vocal dog. Many samoyeds “talk,” and she was no exception. “Out” was her most common word, but she actually called me “Mom.” Amazing, but true! I guess with 5 kids around, she picked up on my name pretty quickly.

  8. lrconsiderer says:

I like clark jokes about rogers, and I even made a rogerian joke today (though it was your expense – sorry – but I need to TRY to maintain some referential authority, even if it is only the idea that the TToT blogs get pimped and promoted ON the TToT, not the group)

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

yes, I realized that, after the fact, unfortunately …all the more ironic, because (one of my) initial reactions was that the FB TTot would become like a ‘drive-through’ TToT… no need to slave over a hot words press…so I am happy to have been wrong in some aspect

  9. Joy Christi says:

Such a good-lookin dog! It’s pretty genius to “walk” your dog with your car, I need to make a mental note of that for kid walks when it’s rainy, cold or lazy (me)!
I need to go read that post of Kristi’s (not Kristi). Sorry I missed the chat, only downside of vacation.

    • clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

      Joy

well, we missed you, but I’m not so certain I have the bandwidth to deal with the energy of 3 scotts on one vid chat! lol as I’m sure you’ve heard, we have the sparkling Dyanne and the effervescent Christine in attendio at the chat… ain’t no mistaking a scott!

  10. Ah…so sorry to have missed you on the chat yesterday! I was on, albeit a little later. Will catch up with you on more Rogerian perspectives!

  11. Sandy Ramsey says:

I can’t quit chuckling about #7, Dyanne and Christine! I came very late so I missed it, sad to say. I can only imagine how entertaining that must have been!!

  12. Sarah says:

Well, I am definitely gonna go read Kristi’s post to see if I identify.

  13. dyannedillon says:

When Una yawned, I yawned. Herd animals, all of us.
Your woods looked a little like Ozark woods.
I need to get on the stick and read Kristi’s guest post. I mean, Kristi’s. Don’t want to be confused with Kristi.

  14. clarkscottroger clarkscottroger says:

damn! @ 3:34… (Una’s) yawn is followed by a decidedly glazed look in her eyes….

    lol

  15. Una is one lucky dog! :D I’d like someone to take me on an auto walk on a Friday.
These vid chats sound like the place to be. Glad it was fun!
